Grand Rapids Eastern GP38 #3839 moves to runaround its train at the Fremont Co-Op back in August of 2008. #3839 was built in September of 1970 as B&O #4806. It became CSXT #2106 after the CSX merger, then was sold to Railtex in 1993, becoming Grand Rapids Eastern #5106. When Rail America bought Railtex in 2000, it was renumbered into RA's numbering scheme, becoming GR #3839. When Genesee & Wyoming bought Rail America, it was repainted orange and became Mid Michigan RR #2057. Today it works for Marquette Rail, mostly in Manistee.
