"Got on my skateboard and began to
Push away from my house
Went with the wind, the day was dim
And I was sure it was coming from the south
Had a jacket in my backpack
I threw it on 'cause it was blowing cold
Caught a glimpse of the setting sun
The day's now gone and I'm feeling old
[Chorus]
I guess I'm not getting any younger
Life flashes by just while we wonder
I guess I'm not getting any younger, younger
You’re young once, then you’re old forever"
''Ringrijden'' is a typical Frisian piece of folklore: a couple in traditional costume (dating from the early 19th century) ride in a ''sjees'', a two-wheeled carriage pulled at high speed by a thoroughbred black Frisian horse; the woman tries to collect mounted rings with a pointed wooden stick while riding past at a steady trot, as here in the town of Joure.
A great blue heron in a blue sky, returning from the great blue yonder in the blue hour. A low light and out of focus shot, but I still like it for some reason.
This is a lucky mistake photo. I accidentally changed to manual and got this shot in late afternoon shade with exposure of 125 and iso of 640. I was amazed that it turned out so well.
Finally got my baby back after it had been in the shop for two weeks. Had to get some repairs done on it because I was hit in a parking lot a while back at a truck meet. Wasn't my fault, and it has been resolved with no hard feelings. Just glad to have her back:)
After watching this Great Blue Heron hunt for awhile, it caught this vole and wasted no time getting it down.
LaKota is a very good 'catcher'!
This is one of the reasons I wanted to upgrade my camera... it was very hard to get clear action shots of the dogs with my old one. At 4.5 fps with the new one, I'm hoping to get more, and better, action shots of my guys.
Large Size is kinda scary - especially from the ball's perspective! ; )

I had to take a picture of Simcha with this yarn because he LOVES it and manages to snuggle up to it whenever he can. I think it might be the "sheepy" lanolin smell as this is a wonderful rustic yarn specifically spun for Ysolda's shawl club by John Arbon Textiles.
Hola !
This squirrel was waiting for me in the trees when I arrived. I like the details of the claws (Squirrels-2019-2120.jpg)
Got a new 300mm lens for the Panasonic Lumix GX85, and had to learn to use it.
Be sure to view on a black background (just click on the image).
I will use this camera and lens combination when we take our South Africa photo safari.
Hand held 1/500 second. The 300mm is effective 600mm for full-frame. I used the Monochrome-L setting, and the colors came out a bit richer.
Lots of work with GIMP, increasing contrast and a little bit of sharpening.

"..it really is amazing how the light looks good in the dark. . . hmnn...cant think of anything more to say, hehee,." =)
Note: constructive critiques accepted, i'd love to know my mistakes and ways to make better images in the future.

I had another GREAT day up on Angeles Crest Wednesday. The weather was cool enough I could play hard on the Harley and then head to Chilao. Once again being it was mid-week there was nobody there which made for a peaceful and relaxing day with the birds.
