For those outside of the law. For those beyond the law.
For when justice fails he will be there to deal out punishment. for he is the Punisher. Also he might kill a few zombies to.

Glimpses snapped during the bonfire night on July 11th and the Protestant procession afterwards in Belfast. They mark the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, when the Protestant King William of Orange defeated the last British Catholic monarch, King James II. Bonfires were lit to welcome - and guide - King William III the night before.

My most stolen triptych, people just don't care for copyright, crediting me as the author, these 3 pics of mine were used as, among others, summer festival promos on posters, as promo for cosmetic services, countless times on Pinterest with that cheesy "dancing in the rain" quote, people being convinced these glimpses are from Woodstock 1969. All such cases are prosecuted through copyright lawyers, it is a pricey endeavor for all those stealers of my work.
The monochrome capture ended up as the book cover for Marc Levy's novel "Un autre idée du bonheur", published in 2015 by Univers Poche Paris. Mr. Levy even invited me to NY where he resides, to meet me and give me dedicated exemplars of the novel.

A first batch of my candid impressions snapped at Day 2 of the Surva International Festival of Masquerade Games in Pernik, Bulgaria, member of the Federation of European Carnival Cities. Surva is listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the UNESCO. "It is a ritual symbolizing the cleansing power of the new beginning with wishes for health and a bountiful harvest. Bulgarian masquerade rituals go back thousands of years to the earliest pagan times. Masquerade games were practiced as the new year took over from the old and during nature’s spring awakening. The message they conveyed was of banishing the powers of evil with wishes for health and fertility during what are known as the “dirty days” of the year." (Source: Ilka Dimitrova, www.bnr.bg) I´ve captured an immense amount of candids, about 10k, hence it is very hard to select the best snaps. Аppreciate all the likes and comments, much more Day 2 snaps coming up and Day 3 impressions as well, hopefully, soon!

A selection of my impressions snapped at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair (County Galway, Ireland), the oldest horse fair in Europe, held since the first half of the 1700s. It is a traditional meeting place of the Irish Travellers, who resemble in their lifestyle to the Roma (Gypsies), yet there are not genetically connected with them. The Travellers diverged from the Irish about 500 years ago. www.nature.com/articles/srep42187
None of the snaps is posed, all are candids.
Hope you will like the captures, much thanks for your kind support so far!

Glimpses snapped during the Savaria Historical Carnival in Szombathely, Hungary, mostly captured during the procession. The city was an important settlement in the Roman era, hence is the focus of the event on this period. The gladiator fights were one of the highlights of the event.

A candid snapped at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, her last summer vacation spent with the focus on building sandcastles, a superimposed conceptual storyline of coming of agefits to this snap well.

A poetic candid snapped at the Mayday celebration in Krosno, Poland. It was a family event centered around kid activities, I managed to channel this girl's nostalgic vibe during her devoted painting process, still not realizing she will outgrow this past-time very soon.

Thank you for all the kind comments and favs on my opus so far, appreciate the support! Although I could write paragraphs about the background of every single candid I've taken, it would take a lot of time. I've decided to pause a little bit and share with you more about this particular candid with a cinematic plot.
A candid is not a sheer point-and-shoot capture, it has no worth unless it captures pristine, sincere emotions or a storyline. In my humble opinion, it is a much larger feeling of achievement if you catch a random, not posed dynamic second of human life, interaction frozen in time, than to take a studio/set up capture you have prepared for ages, with "emotion on demand" from your model(s).
It was a scorching day in Krakow and some inner city parents as an optimal solution for a chill-off for their kids have opted for one of the fountains around the Market Square instead of pools/water parks. The festival of street performers was going on in Krakow during those days and I was returning home from the Main Square from documenting the event. I was already saturated with the vibrant events and frames I took earlier that day, but decided to capture an additional snap or two more with the hope of catching a storytelling pic. And here it is, a perfect capture for a superimposed storyline, behavioral analysis.
The boy with the red cap stumbles upon his crush from daycare having fun with his nemesis, the boy with the blue hat, who doesn't treats her with respect, staring at her impolitely. This scene and revelation fills the red cap boy with frustration, disappointment and rage in seconds, his right hand subconsciously goes into fist mode, his diaper goes full from the stress.
What happened a second before and a second after is not relevant to us, all that matters is this very second, where the constellations of the subjects was perfect for a successful candid.
