Eight activists have been committed to the Luzira government jail on charges of attack, encouraging violence, and having an illegal gathering by Buganda Road Grade One Judge Muhumuza Asuman.

Nina Kankunda, aka Nina Roz, has accused her ex-boyfriend Daddy Andre of stealing her car and has dragged him to the police station.
Nina Roz reported Daddy Andre to the police for allegedly stealing her Toyota Mark X.
According to reports, Andre dispatched a buddy to pick up the automobile, claiming he was going to utilize it and then return, but Nina has never seen it since.
Nina Roz stated in her CPS statement that she went to a car bond in 2020 with Daddy Andre and arranged the purchase of a Toyota Mark X with the registration number UBF 156C for Ugx21m.
They paid a Shs10 million cash installment and Nina Roz signed a buyer's agreement with Daddy.
She collected the rest after some time and gave it to Daddy Andre to pay off the remaining balance on the car debt, but Andre instead registered the vehicle in his name.
Nina Roz was completely unaware that Daddy Andre had altered the names of the logbooks to his own.
After a while, the Producer dispatched a buddy to pick up the automobile, claiming he was going to use it and then return, but Nina has never seen it since.
Nina reported a stolen vehicle to the police. The cops arrived and detained a car broker, who led them to Barnard, the car's purchaser.
The logbook was revealed to have been changed from Daddy Andre's to Barnard's. Patrick Onyango stated that they will speak with Daddy Andre and Nina and see how they handle the situation.

NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday announced that his ministry has decided to give priority to 'Agniveers' who have completed four years under the 'Agnipath' scheme in the recruitment of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles.
Shah said a "detailed planning" work has been started in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) following the decision.
Shah took Twitter to make the announcement while welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Agnipath' scheme, which aims to transform armed forces.
"Agnipath scheme is a visionary and welcome decision by Prime Minister Modi ji for the bright future of youth. In this context, today the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to give priority to Agniveers who have completed four years under this scheme in the recruitment of CAPFs and Assam Rifles," Shah said in a series of tweets in Hindi.

BENGALURU: New computer simulations on how speech droplets or aerosols move in the air space between interacting people by researchers from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and their collaborators show that the risk of getting infected was higher when one person acted as a passive listener and didn’t engage in a two-way conversation.
“Factors like the height difference between the people talking and the quantity of aerosols released from their mouths also appear to play an important role in viral transmission,” the researchers, from IISc’s department of aerospace engineering (DAE), and collaborators from the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (NORDITA), Stockholm and the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Bengaluru, noted.
Having understood that when a person sneezes or coughs, they can potentially transmit droplets carrying viruses like SARS-CoV-2 to others in their vicinity, the questions they wanted to answer were: Does talking to an infected person also carry an increased risk of infection? How do speech droplets or “aerosols” move in the air space between the people interacting?
Pointing out that while in the early days of Covid-19 experts believed that the virus mostly spread symptomatically through coughing or sneezing, the researchers said, soon, it became clear that asymptomatic transmission also leads to the spread.
