The photograph of the sun was taken on April 25, 2009 while visiting the National Blue Army Shrine, located on the grounds of the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA. The shrine is on Mountain View Road in Washington, NJ.

On October 13, 2008, visitors at the Catholic Shrine witnessed the Miracle of the Sun. For further details on the story, please visit the following link:

The following scripture is conveyed in Luke 8: 16-17, “No one who lights a lamp conceals it with a vessel or sets it under a bed; rather, he places it on a lamp stand so that those who enter may see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light.”

Since 2005 a cross with an outline of a shield has appeared annually on my property in Mine Hill, NJ. Sunrays are shining on the fence and creating the image of a cross. This image has been showing up every morning since last week. The image appears at the top of the fence and slowly descends until it touches the ground. It then changes into a cricle and disappears. The cross can be seen for about 30 minutes.

Interesting Note: The sun is on the outside of the fence, while the cross appears on the inside. However, the sun is high above in the sky and shining its light down upon the earth on our fence. Therefore, it's not impossible for God to send rays of light in any direction, including inside the fence.

I'll be posting more photographs on my website and blog at the following links:

In Psalm 84:11, it says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

Interestingly, this is the Lenten season, a time of spiritual renewal for Catholics and Christians as we prepare for Easter.

Jesus said in John 12:46, "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness."

My wife had her cousin's family over on Saturday. Her cousin's daughter, Brooke stayed overnight. After seeing the cross, Brooke said, "It looks like Jesus."

On several occasions during 2005, an image with a miraculous cross appeared on our backyard fence. Again in 2006, the same luminous cross was visible on Palm Sunday. Through discernment, I believe it's a miraculous sign from heaven of God's angelic shield of protection through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel. When the image first manifested, our family had been encountering adversity, and some difficulties with our son. However, the issues have since mitigated through God's spiritual presence. When encountering obstacles, prayer can have amazing and powerful results!

My wife Teresa and daughter Lauren checked windows and rooms for reflections and found none. The interesting point is that the sun was rising behind the fence in the east, while the image appears on the front, as if the sun is shining onto the fence from the west!

In a problematic world of derision, our faith in prayer is necessary for God's divine intervention and protection. God's plan is designed to help validate His existence to humanity, especially at times when circumstances appear to be hopeless. The Bible conveys the following in John, Chapter 4, Verse 48: Jesus said, “Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders, you will never believe.”

The following scripture is conveyed in Revelation, Chapter 20, Verse 1 and 2: "Then I saw an angel come down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a heavy chain. He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent ... and tied it up for a thousand years."

I supplied several prints of the image to Father Richard Tartaglia of Saint Mary's Church, Denville, New Jersey (USA). I've known Pastor Richard for over a decade as my spiritual advisor. Pastor Richard is a source for imparting testimonial on behalf of the Lenar Family in connection to the spiritual events occurring in my life (Loci B. Lenar).

Update: The image of the Cross again appeared on our property on Monday, September 3, 2007.

Scripture - Luke 22:39-46

Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.

When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."

If you examine the photograph closely, sunlight is creating a colorful and interesting silhouette of Jesus on the right side of the window.

This image depicts a number of what were “suspected” smallpox scab fragments, from the archives of the Virginia Historical Society (VHS).

These fragments came to light when the Museum was in the process of putting together an exhibit entitled, “Bizarre Bits”, chronicling its collection dating back as far as 1831. These scabs came to the attention of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials, who retrieved the items from the VHS, bringing them back to the CDC’s Atlanta headquarters for testing. The tests determined that the scab did contain virus from the smallpox vaccine, but did not contain the smallpox disease virus, Variola major. The link below, will take you to the complete Wall Street Journal article, more completely detailing the course of investigative events.

Hispanics are about to be officially the biggest minority group in the USA....... when the census results are released......... it will show that in the last 10 years since the last census they make up 50% of the population growth in the US ....... [..(according to the BBC website today)..](http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/latin_america/10208781.stm).......... this growth is basically down to the second generation ........ the children of the people from Mexico Central and South America that started life in the USA back in the 1970's .......... These now parents were some of the poorest and least well educated people to arrive in the US as immigrants (problems exacerbated if they have illegal status) ......... but their children are already becoming more economically mobile ...... this is classic for second generation immigrants...... but it is now harder than ever to move up the economic ladder..... as US society has wider inequality problems ...... and of course these immigrants are starting from a relatively low economic and educational level ......... these stats also show that many hispanics become economically mobile by starting their own business ......... which is.... lets face it..... the classic way to make it in America........ the stats appear to show (despite claims by some to the contrary) that hispanics are basically following the classic immigrant road to achievement and assimilation in the US...... :-)) XXXXXX

This picture was made at an immigrants rights march in DC a while back.......... calling for Amnesty for illegal immigrants......... I wrote this at the time :

"Many carried banners stating 'We are all Americans'. I saw a banner: 'I am an immigrant and a human being' reminding me of the famous sixties civil rights placards 'I am a man'. There were immigrants from all over the world from Korea and Lebanon, Afghanistan and Nigeria with their supporters whose grandparents were immigrants from Europe. Overwhelmingly though the marchers were Hispanic from Mexico and El Salvador, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras the Dominican Republic and all of the other Latin American States. America's openness to immigrants from across the world and its famously porous Southern border makes this place seem the most diverse place on the planet. Clutching the American flag and carrying a sign: 'We love The United States' a marcher told me in broken English he loved freedom and wanted only the right to be part of the country he loved and had labored in, and that he wanted to have the right to the 'pursuit of happiness' and to pursue 'the American dream', the right to become an American citizen after 8 years in the USA illegally."

Wall Street Journal: Record Contradicts Palin's 'Bridge' Claims

Despite significant evidence to the contrary, the McCain campaign continues to assert that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told the federal government "thanks but no thanks" to the now-famous bridge to an island in her home state.

The McCain campaign released a television advertisement Monday morning titled "Original Mavericks." The narrator of the 30-second spot boasts about the pair: "He fights pork-barrel spending. She stopped the Bridge to Nowhere." Gov. Palin, who John McCain named as his running mate less than two weeks ago, quickly adopted a stump line bragging about her opposition to the pork-barrel project Sen. McCain routinely decries.

But Gov. Palin's claim comes with a serious caveat. She endorsed the multimillion dollar project during her gubernatorial race in 2006. And while she did take part in stopping the project after it became a national scandal, she did not return the federal money. She just allocated it elsewhere.

Senior adviser Mark Salter pointed to her role in killing the project while in office and allocating the money elsewhere. When pressed further that it was actually Congress that stopped the earmark, Mr. Salter said: "She stopped it, too. She did her part."

Democratic candidate Barack Obama used a town-hall style event in Flint, Mich., to attack Gov. Palin over the "Bridge to Nowhere" debate. He accused the vice presidential nominee of lobbying for the bridge and then hiding her initial position when she ran for governor and the project became unpopular. "You can't just make stuff up. You can't just recreate yourself. The American people aren't stupid," he said.

Why is this one issue such a big deal? Sen. McCain's anti-earmarks stance has been paramount to his campaign. The Arizona senator has blamed everything from the Minneapolis bridge collapse to Hurricane Katrina on Congress's willingness to stuff bills full of pork barrel spending. As such, Gov. Palin's image as a "reformer" is part of the storyline the McCain campaign needs to complement the top of its ticket.

The Road to Nowhere

While a debate rages over how honest Sarah Palin has been in stating her opposition to the infamous Bridge To Nowhere, another massive, widely-criticized transportation project is lingering in Alaska.

The "Road To Nowhere" is a $375 million "mega-project" designed to connect Juneau to the towns of Haines and Skagway via 50 miles of new road along the steep slopes of an avalanche-battered canal, ending at a ferry terminal at the Haines river. As of 2005, Haines had a population of 2,400, while Skagway had 870 residents. According to the Alaska Transportation Priorities Project, a group promoting "sensible transportation systems in the state," the Road to Nowhere is an irresponsible waste. The project has received more than $100 million in federal and state funding. This includes a $15 million dollar federal earmark and approximately $24 million in federal dollars passed through to the state. But it remains far from completion - hampered by opposition, environmental and safety concerns, and general wariness over its utility.

WELL WE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOIN'

BUT WE DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'VE BEEN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE KNOWIN'

BUT WE CAN'T SAY WHAT WE'VE SEEN

AND WE'RE NOT LITTLE CHILDREN

AND WE KNOW WHAT WE WANT

AND THE FUTURE IS CERTAIN

GIVE US TIME TO WORK IT OUT

We're on a road to nowhere

Come on inside

Takin' that ride to nowhere

We'll take that ride

Feelin' okay this mornin'

And you know,

We're on the road to paradise

Here we go, here we go

We're on a ride to nowhere

Come on inside

Takin' that ride to nowhere

We'll take that ride

Maybe you wonder where you are

I don't care

Here is where time is on our side

Take you there...take you there

We're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind

Come along and take that ride

and it's all right, baby, it's all right

And it's very far away

But it's growing day by day

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

Would you like to come along

and you could help me sing this song?

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

They can tell you what to do

But they'll make a fool of you

And it's all right, baby, it's all right

On Sunday, October 18, 2009, Tony Melendez and his band played a selection of inspirational music of faith at The Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. The Catholic shrine held a televised event of One World Praying for Life and Peace. EWTN was broadcasting the prayer service with Tony's beautiful music.

Remarkably, Tony was born without arms, but is gifted with an ability to play a guitar with his amazing feet. I attended the event and recorded some video with my Canon G7 camera. The video is posted on YouTube at the following link:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cmsngx_Lew

The following excerpt is from Tony's website:

www.tonymelendez.com/English/Tony_Melendez_Ministries_.html

It was an unforgettable moment when, on September 15, 1987, he played his guitar for Pope John Paul II in Los Angeles. Born without arms, he performed a touching song entitled Never Be The Same. When the Pope approached him from the stage to kiss him in appreciation, it seemed to reflect the sentiments of the entire country.

Tony Melendez Ministries is dedicated to bringing compassion and hope to people throughout the world while inspiring and changing the hearts of all God's people.
