"The Queen," (女王) Illy is the author a famous relationship advice website. Her writings are often compared to Sex and the City stories. Here, she holds up two of her books.

Women in Taiwan are becoming a lot more empowered in the zeitgeist. They now have choices.

of a swastika-shaped building on a US Navy base in Coronado, California, has been making its rounds on the internet and Flickr, blogger, blogspot, facebook. According to some sources, the building is part of the training facilities for Navy Seals, and is perhaps their barracks. It's nicknamed "The Seals Lair". Swastikas, although ancient symbols, were also used to represent crossed S-letters for "socialism" under the National Socialist German Workers Party (see the work of Dr. Rex Curry). Edward Bellamy, an American National Socialist and author, promoted what he called "military socialism."

"She looks up and flashes a cheeky smile." Half-Taiwanese and Vietnamese Hsu Wen-zhen spies the WSJ team at her elementary school in Shiding, Taiwan.
In December 2009, I worked as a translator/fixer for the Wall Street Journal. While I was not the photojournalist on this project, I was able to snap a few frames.
One of the stories that I worked on is about "The New Taiwanese." Taiwan currently has one of the lowest birth rates in the world. Women are now more empowered and are finding more appeal in single life. A number of men, primarily middle-aged individuals pressured to have families, go abroad to find wives. More and more children from immigrant families are making up the future population of Taiwan.

A first grade teacher at Shiding Elementary School helps half-Taiwanese Vietnamese Hsu Wen-zhen with her classwork. About fifty percent of Wen-zhen's classmates are from mixed-marriage families.

Rome NY was the origin of the "ancient Roman salute" myth because the infamous stiff-armed salute originated from the Pledge of Allegiance written by Francis Bellamy from Rome, NY (not Rome, Italy). See the work of the historian Dr. Rex Curry.

I am aware that my pro account expires today. Trust me, I am utterly aware. And I know "what happens" if it expires. I lose a bunch of cool flickr features. Stuff I have come to rely on. Stuff that I like to use. But I have a smallish problem, and much of that smallish problem stems from the fact that apparently a number of your parents are considering and reconsidering a marriage agreement (an arranged marriage, no less) with the parents of a software company so large and undesirable (to me) that I have no interest in being a part of said marriage.
More on the story here:
online.wsj.com/article/SB121150760422916345.html?mod=goog...
I was glad when your parents first said "no way, Jose" to such an arrangement, but it appears that the family is restless. I think the family is being foolish. In fact, I am a member of that family, being a stockholder myself. Mr. Ballmer and his ilk are exactly what is wrong with large software families, and should said marriage proceed, I will sell my family heirlooms and purchase antique marbles with the money.
In the mean time, I will likely renew my pro account, because I love you, flickr. But should you eventually become part of the microsoft confusion, I will likely begin the process of finding another, less lovely suitor. I will not enjoy this process.
I will never love another like I love you, dear flickr. I promise you that, even if I discard you like yesterday's dunked graham crackers.
Your beloved,
Terry "I don't use Microsoft Products when I can avoid it at all" Bain
