We said a final farewell to my wonderful mother in law two days ago. She lived a long and mostly joyful life, and passed at the age of 95. Everyone who met her loved her - she had a kind word and a smile for all. Unfortunately, because of Covid, we couldn't go to Vancouver Island to see her or the family. We had to rely on video and phone calls.
She loved pink, so this one's for her. I will miss her so much....

But I'm lucky because in my immediate vicinity I can still go skiing without any problems. A little north and a little higher from me there is still a lot of snow in the forest.

I had my hut here for more than a year, this place was incredibly nice to live in, but time is running and things are changing, transforming or disappearing. However, this place will survive in my memory and is already immortalised by all the pictures I took there, including this one.
I take this opportunity to thank everyone for your lovely comments and support given to me during 2017 and wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2018.

it was one of the wettest Octobers on record but it was as ever a really pretty month , and November is usually much wetter . so hoping for a drier month now

Now the time has come to finish the unpleasant process, that unfortunately began 2 1/2 years ago and caused endless useless discussions in Europe and childish debates in London, and I'm still sad to see you leaving, my British friends.
Although I hope that all these endless 'news' during the last years will now come to an end and that there finally is more time to discuss more important issues and to solve fundamental problems on our planet - Fridays For Future!

Winterset Hollow has closed but the magic remains. This sim was a real joy for us and a special place and we want to thank everyone that came out to visit. The visitor counts were extraordinary and we are blessed to have so many supporters. We will bring back Winterset Hollow again in December 2023 but not sure if it is possible to improve the magic of what we had. This was one of the last good days Norton had. His condition rapidly got worse over the next week and we had to let him go. Rest in peace my friend.
