Dear followers,
the Sony A6500 and the Samyang 12/2.0 send a last goodbye to you. This two guys were faithfull companions for a longer time, but I will sell this camera and the lens in the nearer future. Two good cameras make not really sense to me.
In the future you will see sunstars with 10 beams, less flairs and a little bit more width.

Let me share one more sunrise photograph from the winter of 2020, before our world was turned upside down. The scene was Lakewood Park in Tecumseh, Ontario towards the end of February. Situated on Lake St. Clair, the park beach was covered with the last lake ice from a rather mild winter in southwestern Ontario.
We said a final farewell to my wonderful mother in law two days ago. She lived a long and mostly joyful life, and passed at the age of 95. Everyone who met her loved her - she had a kind word and a smile for all. Unfortunately, because of Covid, we couldn't go to Vancouver Island to see her or the family. We had to rely on video and phone calls.
She loved pink, so this one's for her. I will miss her so much....
This beautiful song, by Regina Spektor, is about loss, and I wanted to share it with anyone of you who would like to listen.

But I'm lucky because in my immediate vicinity I can still go skiing without any problems. A little north and a little higher from me there is still a lot of snow in the forest.

I had my hut here for more than a year, this place was incredibly nice to live in, but time is running and things are changing, transforming or disappearing. However, this place will survive in my memory and is already immortalised by all the pictures I took there, including this one.

Now the time has come to finish the unpleasant process, that unfortunately began 2 1/2 years ago and caused endless useless discussions in Europe and childish debates in London, and I'm still sad to see you leaving, my British friends.

Winterset Hollow has closed but the magic remains. This sim was a real joy for us and a special place and we want to thank everyone that came out to visit. The visitor counts were extraordinary and we are blessed to have so many supporters.
