A canopy got in the way of my shot of the 18th fairway.
Today the Hereios of the We're Here group are visiting Stupid Photo Tuesday.
Virgin Atlantic stacked below us - I'm no good identifying planes, but assume this is a Boeing 747-400.
This goose was alone, and calling and calling. Other geese flew over answering , but she never flew and just wandered away calling and calling. I wondered if she had lost her mate.
Haven't been able to get to my normal bluebell woods this year. Saw these on our morning walk this morning and couldn't resist taking the shot.

Red-Bellied Water Snake (Neroida erythrogaster) Imust be getting old...In school, I learned this one as (Natrix erythrogaster). This guy was out on the golf course today...Total legnth about 3 feet. Non-poisonous but a bit grouchy! The eye is a bit cloudy...looks like he's going to shed his skin soon.
Spiders were busy overnight. As the sun emerged through the fog, cobwebs became visible everywhere. The fog had left little beads of moisture on the webs, making them stand out.
The fall signals the coming of many things... Things that I don't dare to contemplate for the moment; at least not until a couple of week's time. But we're getting there...
After a wintry January, suddenly the snow disappeared, as if by magic. One would think that this was Alberta and a Chinook had come through, but it was an Ontario thaw that quickly altered the landscape. Joan and I headed out for a morning walk on the Golf Course.

the golf club has wonderful resources --whole line of trees down last week and now mature replacements in place!
