The Killdeer is North America’s most well-known Plover, although many people know the Killdeer without understanding its family affiliation. The Killdeer can be common around human developments, frequently seen on playing fields, parking lots, and other unnatural habitats. Its “broken-wing” display is famous and known by many non-birders.
The Killdeer breeds from Newfoundland, the south rim of
Hudson Bay, and the southern Yukon and Northwest
Territories south to central Mexico and the Gulf coast.
The Killdeer inhabits both brackish and
freshwater habitats and is perfectly at home in upland
situations far from water. It prefers open areas with short
or sparse vegetation, such as pastures, golf courses,
airports, and extensive lawns. Killdeers will also nest on
gravel parking lots and on rooftops.
I found this one along Peavine Road, Osceola County, Florida.

The 2nd hole at Seaview Golf Course in New Jersey...434 yards, par 4. That means you have four tries to hit a little ball into a little hole from a distance the length of more than four football fields. Or 16 house lots. Seriously?

Looking at a golf course at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Cape Cod. Feel peacefully and welcomed. Hydrangeas are blooming.
This makes me think of Elaine from Seinfeld lol

A beautiful sunrise to start another day at St Andrews ⛳ the main stands are almost down after the British Open was held here just a few weeks before .. made for a fantastic setting 🌅

This is a couple of shots.. showing Teignmouth golf course.. which is on the heath.. This is about the highest point in Teignmouth.. The main challenge.. apart from the very rough.. rough..(Gorse & Heather).. is the wind.. even on the hottest summer days.. you can find a nice breeze.. other days.. it advisable to hold on to your hat..!! can be viewed on black
