These Moreton Bay figs on Norfolk Island are estimated to be around 200 years old. They have a sprawling root system taller than us mere mortals. You can find them on Headstone Road, and in the early morning, setting up the tripod in the middle of the road carries no risk of getting skittled by traffic. The only risk is being eaten alive by midges.

Alco smoke still trails with the passing of VIA Train No. 1, the Canadian, with its tail car catching up, seen at Prescott ON in the early evening hours of 12 June 1983.

When the owner of this cat went out this one and another got out too, but as soon as she'd driven off, both cats made a b-line to get back home.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

The whole country I live in is going Bananas. How can we let children grow up in a world when they are not able to trust the police because they could be shot due to the color of their skin? It isn't fair and it isn't right and EVERY MOLECULE IN YOUR BODY NEEDS TO SAY NO!

Say no today. Say no tomorrow. Continue to say no because this child is beautiful. He lives in Paris, France where it is slightly better albeit still a little flawed. Our children deserve to grow up in a world that cherishes them because they truly matter and are worth it. Our children deserve to go a little bananas and not have to constantly worry about their safety.

I love this child. I love every child. We are all citizens of the world and we must be kinder, better humans every day.

Letting Go... Sometimes, it's like releasing a balloon into the vast sky. We cling on, afraid of losing what we know, but in letting it go, we allow it to find its own path. Similarly, when we release people and situations we can no longer control, we grant them the freedom to discover their own destiny. It's an act of self-love and trust in life's natural flow. Though it may hurt at first, in letting go, we allow what truly belongs to us to stay close, while making room for new experiences and connections that enrich our journey.

outside I'm free, outside I'm me.

We had a short amount of time on Saturday so we hit the Hayward Shoreline by bike. The tide in the late afternoon was very high and it was super windy that day. We ended up only being there for about 40 minutes because the wind blew dirt in my eyes and I couldn't see. OMG, if you wear contact lenses, you know what I am talking about. My favorite time of year to see these Least Terns so I take advantage as much as I can!

Took this about a year ago, although it feels like more recently. I'm still working, still doing photography. Unfortunately, way more work than photography. No excuses for not visiting. Sure I've been busy, but think it's mostly just gotten out of the habit of going on Flickr. I keep telling myself once I'm retired I'll have more time, but know I'll still need to make a concerted effort to get back into the habit of being here.

Anyway, hope everyone is well. My truck is down, waiting at Peterbilt dealership in SoCal. My stock portfolio is a disaster, but not worried, haven't been selling, just keep buying while my highest conviction stocks are on sell. My family is well. Really looking forward to retirement, but making more money now than ever. Although inflation, the World going crazy, and our current government in Washington has no answers other than spending more money. I'll leave it at that, being a Conservative and knowing here on Flickr I'm an outlier politically. No matter how you vote I still miss you all and will end this and see what some of you have been photographing.

I was in the Lake District just after New Year when all the storms were hitting the west coast. Generally the weather was terrible for getting out with the camera but there was a small dry spell so I headed down to meet an old friend (Ashness Jetty).

It was great to find it slightly submerged as it gave me the chance to get a different shot than I've previously taken. There was a little bit of end of day colour in the clouds and when I put the ten stop on they took on a slight purple tint which I think I like...

Ein kleiner Nachtrag zum vorherigen Foto.

Diese grünen Ampeln habe ich auf dem Trafalgar Square fotografiert.

Alles geht

Let's go.

A small addition to the previous photo.

I photographed these green traffic lights on Trafalgar Square.

Everything is possible

Let's go.

A black swallowtail caterpillar seen a few days after the first time I saw it. Some body segments turned green as it aged. I looked for it again over the weekend but there was no sign so maybe it has gone to the chrysalis stage now.

Not the seaside but I find it hard to resist water unless it is going to spoil a nice drop of you know what.

I bumbled off to this reservoir early one morning before Christmas and as luck would have it the conditions played ball.

Right of centre is Roughtor, the second highest point in Cornwall at 1,313 feet in old money and nearby is Brown Willy being the highest at 1,378 feet, if only Roughtor had eaten its cornflakes when it was younger.

I will leave you with this thought, what time is it when a clock strikes 13? Time to get a new clock.

As the weekend is just around the corner, hope you all have a good one.

Thank you so much for viewing my images, the comments and banter are so appreciated. 🐎💨🐷💨🍺🍺🍺😎🍷🍷🍷😂😂😂

As you can see...here in London it's raining cats n dogs...where as in the Big Apple...the sun is out and the sky's are blue....I wish I could actually walk through this Telescope, I'd rather be on the other side at the moment that's for sure..:O)))

Anyhoo....this is a picture of New Yorkers watching us...watching them..I bet they love the fact that we were getting wet lol...........They can see Tower Bridge on their side..and RAIN!!!!!.............:O(((

Nature clearly just can't take 2016 anymore and the mushrooms in South London are taking on an eerie glow when the sun goes down. ;)

It's been a bit too busy this week to get out and get some images done, had to delve back into the archives to look for some fences. This is on one of the gates on Glamorgan's Cardiff county ground or the Swalec stadium in Cardiff. It was taken last year. Go glammy glammy is Glamorgan's "song" for want of a better term. HFF!
