The Park Avenue sold here between 1991 and 1996 was the last Buick officially imported by GM in Europe. Unlike some other GM cars this model was converted for European lighting requirements and larger license plates. So in some details this one is different from US-models.

Made the pilgrimage back to the spot where I attended my first night photography workshop all those years back. I didn't spend as much time with the bus as I have in the past...I didn't need to. I've gotten so many shots of this old GM that I have trouble finding something new sometimes. Still, I did employ the same color scheme as I have in the past (red in the front and green in the back.) I've tried other combos before, but I like this one best.
Three shot composite. Lit with the Protomachine LED 2. Subtle lighting down the camera facing side of the bus. This was part of a "selfie" composition that I'm currently processing. That'll be coming soon.

Greater Manchester Buses: 3272 (D272 JVR) a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Olympian, painted in Express livery and allocated to Princess Road Garage where it is captured in between duties.
The usual service allocation for the Express branded buses at Princess Road Garage was service 104 between Manchester Piccadfilly and Wythenshawe/Woodhouse Park. However these also often saw use on National Express services around the time as well.

with only three of these derivable and 2 restored to original ( the other is a motor home) I never thought I would see one of these, Gm is celebrating their 100th year anniversary and Flint being the birth place, they are bringing stuff out to show off. this is at the Sloan museum in Flint. Sloan was an early leader for General Motors, and later owned a plumbing business. for all you guys that use urinals the top valve is most likely a Sloan. this bus is soo cool!!!
Both East Kent and Maidstone & District took advantage of secondhand stock from GM Buses. M&D's 5732 (LJA 648P) a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68A/1R is about to enter the Chequers Centre in Maidstone on July 13th 1996. It carries a colorbus livery for local Rover car dealer Dutton Forshaw.

This shot of GM&O 807B is indicative, sadly, of my collection of GM&O F units. This old beauty was sitting at Woodcrest back in February of 1976 with all kinds of junk around it. But, thankfully, I still took a picture. My lack of coverage of these F units wasn't due to lack of opportunity. I was raised and lived in ChicagoLand, but never went to see the "Plug." I went to college in Bloomington, IL and lived close to the yard. I used to go over there and watch the operations, especially at night when all the switch stand targets were lit up. I didn't have a camera so I never took a picture. And on it went, no excuses, no results. So, if ever they invent a wayback machine for railfans, you can guess what will be #1 or close to it, to see.
The conductor on the IT train is swinging the gate back to the normal position across the IT (former PRR) line. The GM&O depot for Minier, IL, is visible in the background.
