These young performers from the Newry Studio of Irish Dancing make a spectacular addition to the already wonderful performance of Celtic Sounds: Reimaginings at this year's (2023) Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Not only do I leave after a performance singing in my head but dancing well into the evening and next day too!
Obviously, Gluttony shares many traits with an obese person. However, I wanted to also exhibit more animal imagery, as we humans are animals ourselves, albeit more civilised ones. I scraped away at the mouth of Gluttony, and this conjured up images of dried up vomit and disease, pointing towards Gluttony no longer using that mouth, or having to suffer this as a punishment for his sins.

Moths like light, this one liked it a bit too much and it's over-indulgence unfortunately ended it's life. It flew into my room, headed straight for the spotlight and became trapped inside the coiled light bulb, the ordeal didn't last long, the struggle and flapping was over in seconds.

from My trip to Edinburgh with the College to see Two ehibitions at the national museums. Photographed the very busy streets with many kinds of people and emotions. these Final 7 shots were taken in the space of two hours after the exhibitions where over. Taken photos like these is what I Love and I love the individuality of the people and situations in the photographs. People have there own stories and We can't iamgine what anyone has been through to get to these points in time
This was supposed to show how this particular sin starts at an early age and how much of a problem it truely in. I try to follow this theme with gluttony.
I am the living, walking, killing carnivore
I carve the flesh and suck out the eyes
Severed body parts I violently remove
Eating away-remains of you
Under the cutting edge of slicing domination
You won't survive the mutilation
Scream in panic as I grab my killing tool
Your body twitches, blade runs through
I hack you up and terminate your life
I rip your guts and take a look inside
Your inner organs I sadistically explore
Eating what's left inside the corpse
Cannibal
Gluttony
Carnivore
You will bleed
Actually I think it's Sloth on the left. These two make a highly motivated pair.

This was one of the images I took for one of my friends who is a media student. She was making a film of sketches based on the seven deadly sins and asked me to take some photos to add to the film.
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked.
Genesis 3:6,7
This may seem like a stretch for gluttony--I mean it was only one piece of fruit that she ate... but part of the definition of gluttony is "excess". Adam and Eve had a whole garden of food at their disposal, for them to partake of the one fruit they were denied has a certain hint of excess to it.
Today's Random Fact: Yesterday, the 6th picture I took was the one I uploaded. Tonight, the sixth picture I took from my first shoot was the one I liked best. Then I decided to reshoot and again the sixth picture was my favorite. Also, this is my 666th upload to flickr. I'm not one to read into things, however, that one of the sins fell on my 666th upload isn't a coincidence--I noticed that fact and that's why I reshot to start up my sin theme again.
Bonus random fact (since I skipped yesterday): I highly doubt that the "fruit of the knowledge of good and evil" was an apple. And it's always kind of annoying when it gets referred to as an apple all the time. I'm such a hypocrite. :/
