Our tour of the Sloth reserve in Costa Rica also brought us some other local critters including a couple of Strawberry Poison Dart Frogs. They were TINY and I probably wouldn't have noticed them had the guide not pointed them out despite them being mere feet from the path we were on. My motto for Costa Rica was "look but don't touch!" #costarica #costaricagram #costaricalife #costaricaphoto #costaricatraveler #costarica

Last weekend I went on a backpacking trip that started at the West Maroon Pass trail head just outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. The trail ends at Maroon Lake which is just outside of Aspen. Just over 12 miles. This is a very scenic trail that takes you through a portion of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area. I knew there was a storm on its way and with temperatures dropping to the low 20’s there was sure to be some snow on the peaks. Sure enough, it snowed almost the whole day. The hike ended up taking me over 7 hours to complete. Mind you my pack was extremely heavy with all my camping, and camera gear. I arrived at Crater Lake, as exhausted as I was, just in time to set up my tent and hurry down to the water to find a spot to get this shot. Boots 100% saturated with no chance of drying out by the morning at all. Silver dollar size blisters on both heals. Knees that were extremely mad at me for what I did. However, at the end of all that I was rewarded with this beautiful scene and one of the best sunsets I could of hoped for. Best part, I was the only one there other than a few people way at the other end of the lake. Worth it? You bet ya!

These guys doing human statue routines are getting more complex! This one in the old city of Salamanca posed atop a pile of metal junk or perhaps modern art, depending on your point of view!

The unmistakable lines of one of the Duple Goldliner IV bodied Dennis Falcon V that had such a chequered career. New to Western National, this was actually one of the longer lasting examples and had already been through seven operators in 10 years before it arrived here with Globe of Barnsley in July 1992. It still carries the livery of previous operator Rowland & Lane. Globe clearly realised they'd bought a pup as it was sold on within 3 months and would, like many oddballs, be exported to Ireland by 1996. Seen in August 1992 in Blackpool - a long way to send a Falcon V - but perhaps they hadn't realised it's failings yet!
