There are numbers and letters carved into this pine, and the light reflecting off the tree was perfect.
One of the worlds most visited icons was rejected by various Parisian communities sparking protests before the Eiffel Tower was constructed in the 1880’s. This just shows the results of perseverance and to never giving up on your dreams and that nothing is impossible if you stay focused on your goal. Keep dreaming and you too can change the world.

This beautifull site is on the way to Saral Lake from Dodipatsar Lake and all around flowers are there. and you have to walk carefully becuse flowers will be ruined below your feet but there is no way to avoid these flowers because they are all around in your way.
It was a wet, wet hike down to the waterfall Rio Celeste in the Tenorio National Park in Costa Rica. Into every rain forest a little (or a lot) of rain must fall! The weather did give the rain forest atmosphere. One of my wishes when visiting Costa Rica was to see wild sloths. We visited a Sloth Reserve near Tenorio National Park. Though we just had a torrential downpour (and would have another as we walked through the reserve), we got a few great views of the sloths. Yes, they move as slow as advertised! Ferdinando Magellan arrived at Cebu in 1521 and his crew from Malaysia could communicate with the people in Cebu to some extent, with which Magellan realised his round-the-globe travel had been almost completed. He befriended the local king Rajah Humabon and converted people in Cebu to Christianity including the king. This is the site where the first cross was planted in the Philippine archipelago.
After a while, Magellan was killed in a battle with a local chieftain Lapulapu in nearby Mactan island. The battle was requested by Rajah Humabon. The king also tried to poison remaining Spaniards. Humabon may have realised the hidden intention of Magellan and tried to remove his people from Cebu.
In the Philippines, both Magellan and Lapulapu are heroes; the former brought Christianity while the latter killed Magellan. It is an interestingly ambivalent sentiment.
The cross in the photo is a wooden case that houses the original cross.
