At Glen Iris today, the battle between Willie and Goliath. Willie was brave. Goliath was irritated. But Willie persevered for over a minute, wearing the big guy down :-)

This is one from May last year. Warmed by the late-afternoon sun. Never seem to get close enough to these as they seem to perch high up when I'm around!

Mary Jemison was captured by the Seneca Indians as a fifteen year old girl, grew up to become a member of the Seneca Nation and spent the remainder of her life with the Indians. She died in 1833 and her remains were eventually moved to the Council Grounds on William Pryor Letchworth's Glen Iris estate, where this statue commemorates her life.

I've never seen such delicate imagery in a stained glass window before.

What a great way to wind down summer. Glen Iris, an amazing band from Eagle Rock, and the Princess Bride outdoors on a 3 story screen.
