Bedouin is a name given to people who live in the deserts. Those people always live in tribes which means a group of people are living in one place in the desert and ruled by one person who they call the “Sheikh”. This Sheikh is the person who is in charge of the rest of the tribe.

I was given the opportunity this year to sponsor the Budget Savvy Bridal Show that was put on by Totally Beautiful Moments and MBT Marketing Solutions.
Just at the look of the crowd that nearly filled every available space in the building, I'd say the event was a success! I was blessed with the duty of capturing the event and manning my booth during the event, which turned out to be pretty interesting. It turned out better than I thought and I was able to talk with several prospects to say the least. Mrs. Peterson had to do some school work and be mom, so she was unable to woman the booth this time around. She owes me one!!! Here is what happened at the show. We were given a window of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the delivery of the refrigerator we've been waiting for over 6 months for. Darek called from work about 8 a.m. and said "They're on their way!" Long story short: We now have our new refrigerator.
I had blocked off most of my day for the refrigerator so getting it here early gave me plenty of time to go looking for:

Days before New year day Guruji had given Darshans for Matajis and Prabhus separately and Guruji had given satsangs and talks encouraging us all to sing the divine names with Him.
For New years eve a livestream production had occurred here on site to give the internationally community an overview of activities worldwide, including the inauguration of the Sri Vitalla Dham ashram and the Paranitya temple which through Gurujis grace have manifested.
The new years celebrations began in the temple with euphoric Kirtan getting everyone on their feet. At midnight Guruji began the new year with offering Arati to the deities gracing us all with His presence. The night continued with fireworks and then to the tent with Premavahini, a band from Croatia, offering their heart in song, leading us into the new year with Harinaam.
New years day again was a spectacular morning where Guruji gave us the opportunity to witness abhishekam to His personal deities. He ended the festivities with a beautiful talk on the importance of being grateful. Not just for the year but everyday and wishing everyone not just a happy new year but Happy days and that we understand the importance of being grateful for every day that has been given to us by God.

I was given these brass figurines from a co-worker who left the firm that I work for a few years ago. Before I gave them away and just keeping the German Shepherd one (my favorite) I photographed them. Here is the German Shepherd.

She was Caddie's sister. They would follow each other around when they weren't following me. She was my companion for close to 15 years. She new when it was time for bed and would come get me every night. She would cuddle and sleep next to me every night and she would sit in the window next to the computer and keep me company when she wasn't laying on my bed. I am so going to miss her. She was a good girl. RIP Gordo April 1999 to October 7, 2011

No provenance given. Commodus is Carrara marble with an alabaster bust.
Part of a group with the two Tritons. The bust features Commodus in the guise of Hercules, flaunting his divine attributes; the skin of the Nemean Lion, the Apples of the Hesperides, and his club. This work grouped with two torsos of Tritons (marine mythological figures with half human features) hinting at the marine parade celebrating the apotheosis of the sovereign, according to a figurative scheme already adopted for the decoration of sarcophagi.

Bergen has given a warm welcome to its visitors for more than 900 years. Bryggen has become a symbol of our cultural heritage and has gained a place on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
The old Hanseatic wharf is architecturally unique and is perhaps one of the most familiar image in all of Norway.
Ever since the intrepid King Olav Kyrre sailed into the harbour and founded the city in 1070, Bergen has attracted people from all quarters of the world. Some came and went, others decided to make Bergen their home. Bergensers travelled abroad and learned and so Bergen became a melting-pot of cultures and Norway's most international city.
Bergen grew up around its colourful harbour - it was the hub of commerce, seafaring and crafts-manship. We became the north's largest city, Norway's first capital city and the seat of royalty. So important was Bergen by the 13th century that the Hansas - the German medieval guild of merchants - opened one of their four European offices on the wharf called Bryggen.
Some of the Hansas chose to become Bergensers. And so have many others throughout the centuries. But Bryggen stays the same, its contour just as it was in the 11th century, untouched by shifting times. It has become a symbol of our cultural heritage and has gained a place on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Bergen has become a World Heritage City.

This project was based around the usage and experimentation with a pinhole camera. Students were given an oatmeal box that was created to act as a camera, with light sensitive paper inside of it. Aside from experimentation with location and objects, students challenged themselves with indoor, outdoor, sunny, cloudy, and dark settings. The challenge was to find a great location or image and test exposure times to get a wide range of shades of black, whites, and grays. In my circumstances, I experimented with both indoor and outdoor photos. My exposure times varied from 1 minute to 40 minutes. I traveled to a bridge, beach, and took various shots in my backyard and house. Originally, I knew I wanted to test indoor shots because it is challenging to find the right timing and time of day. I also wanted to challenge myself with different settings, while going beyond the typical 'sunny' weather.
All and all, the project was challenging. My biggest struggle was estimating the right amount of exposure time for each shot. I overestimated or underestimated when it came to indoor shots. However, I am proud that I challenged myself with new shots. I am also proud of myself for figuring it out with a few indoor shots, and overcoming the hardships at the beginning of the assignment. This goes to show that I struggled a lot at the beginning and almost gave up, yet decided to choose a different indoor location and thrived there. This shows that I do not give up when times are tough and continue to try my hardest with new concepts. In ways, my work ties with my inspirations because I appreciated the little things in my pinhole photography. Whether it was a skeleton or jar of candy, I focused on the little things and made them something more through my lense. Overall, my work shows that I even when I am struggling to learn I do not give up and continue to try in order to get better.

Given the size of the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt, the dining room of its most famous restaurant was comparably small. It could cover more than 30 people with not-so-spacious distance between tables. Luckily, it was a slow day for lunch so I did not feel crammed (only 4 people ate accompanied by 2 service staffs and 2 runners). The dining room design and ambiance were casual with wooden floor and tables without any cloths. Some black and white photos of the lake Tegernsee, plants hanging on the ceiling as well as some pots with flowers provided accents to the dining room. During the day time when the curtain was opened, we could see the hotel garden covered with snow - but most tables did not have that view.
