Blonde Gingham Girl šŸ’—

This dress was made by my verrrrry special friend - it's a dream to dance in!!!

Sony A7R + Kipon MC/MD to Nex Adaptor + Minolta MC ROKKOR-PG 58mm f/1.2.

Handheld. Edited in Lightroom 5.6 + VSCO.

From Shanghai. China.

This is another lovely photo edited by my friend, Shannon. She put me in a very pretty dress that I would be so happy to wear when I meet her.

I went to a photography day at Sussex Prairie Garden on Saturday, but was only able to stay for a couple of hours because it was far too hot for me, even indoors with doors wide open and fans on. I'm afraid I didn't manage to get out into the garden at all, but had my camera with me, so I couldn't resist photographing these beautiful dahlias in the tearoom.

Another absolutely adorable new Kitty! Waah! I didn't get her (yet?) but she's so cute!! Next to her is corduroy Kitty who I am belatedly realizing is also new. These guys are still scarcer than hen's teeth, but if I see Cord Kitty again, I'll get a picture of her!

For the St. Louis Gender Foundation’s (StLGF) monthly evening dinner gathering in September, Ms. Essay chose to wear this belted black & white gingham sleeveless dress with black high heels.

On the evening of Saturday, September 17th, the StLGF resumed its evening dinner gatherings at a restaurant, rather than dining on catered food (and more recently at times, take-out food) in a hotel’s conference room. Since the restaurant venue was different and more public in nature, there had been some uncertainty, anticipation and speculation in the minds of many members preceding the event.

Prior to departing for the restaurant, Ms. Essay set her smartphone’s camera for a time-delayed exposure, clamped it to a photo tripod and then in the late afternoon stood in the open front doorway of her townhome to capture this pose.

Photos of my new studio! I just finished the gingham shutter inserts. Blogged at Allsorts: allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts/2012/10/care-to-see-some-st...

working on new things. soon to come. i guess i have a thing for gingham.

Booty Pop šŸ˜šŸ’—šŸ‘…

i steered clear of purple for forever, until last fall when it slowly started creeping in... now here it is. full force. lavender explosion.

i made this jumper from a thrifted gingham curtain, which was slightly faded in parts. a nice gradual fade, though. i positioned the pieces so that it's most faded at the top, and gets a bit darker going down.

the pattern is B from the stylish dress book vol. 2. i shortened it a bit and added 2 pockets. that pattern has cute short sleeves, which i made, but when i tried the finished thing on, i found that i could hardly lift my arms. (which is something i like to do). so, off they came. (the sleeves, not my arms). i liked how it looked better with the sleeves but, man, i gotta be able to move.

More natural light looks! Finally starting to feel like I'm hitting my stride working without strobes, as wacky as that is.

Gingham Goodies! The new name for the armoire-formerly-known-as-Gingham-Style lol!

No way was the new owner keeping *that* name following the Psy phenomenon...made it far too pedestrian for her little pop-up boutique!

My turn to wear this new 'shareware' dress as my partner wore it last week!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Christmas. This is my Christmas cake for this year. It was a bit of a rush job and very nearly didn't get finished in time but that's always the way at Christmas isn't it, everything last minute!

The traditional close up is on my website.
