Turns out Tango is a mean boy. He chased Pixie in OUR garden and she ended up in the pond. Poor girl she was soaking wet. I've just sent off for a long range water pistol to stop any more of his shenanigans.
I always keep the stuffed gray kitty over the side of Benji's bed and Benji somehow managed to put his head underneath its paw while he was sleeping. I very quietly tiptoed into the room with the camera and got some photos. Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is very much appreciated.

Whilst trying to capture the beautifully lit frosty clematis rambling over a fence in a park, I saw a pair of ginger ears appear to the side from over the other side. I don't know who he belongs to but he was eyeing me up as if to say "back off lady, this is my garden!"
You can just see him appearing in shot below.
Toffee 2007 - 2024
We said goodbye to our beloved Toffee. He brought us almost seventeen years of happiness. We got him as a gawky kitten that had been left into the vets for rehoming. He grew into the most handsome cat, full of character, who enjoyed life as an indoor cat that was free to patrol the garden.
(edited pic from last year)
This happens whenever the 'boys' hear me making lunch in the kitchen. I remember a time when Ray used to terrorise Kaiser. Now they spend a lot of time together. Age has mellowed them. Ray is 17 and Kaiser is 16 in a couple of weeks
For my Cats and Books album. Taken with my phone and could be a sharper image but I was surprised by the yawn.
Phill bought me a new lens for my birthday for a camera he bought me a couple of years ago which I wasn't getting on with. Anyway I had taken today of work to go to the local wildlife park to try it out. Unfortunately, still not well enough to go traipsing about so it will have to wait for another day. I have either been in bed resting or sitting in front of the TV binge watching The Crown. Anyway, here is Ray looking as smug as you like to cheer us all up (I am say that in my best Queen Elizabeth voice *wink*)
Happy Furry Friday everyone
Wishing you a healthy weekend
He prefers to be alone since October last year and can be found resting in places that didn't interest him. I don't know what changed Joey, was it because he's now force fed his daily medications and supplements? 🤔
One of my easiest ways to keep Little Joey entertained is to choose a live or pre recorded video of a YouTube channel for cats and let him watch it on my tablet.
Unfortunately Joey would only watch if, and only if I am in my bedroom. The moment I leave, he would also exit my bedroom to go downstairs and on the rare occasions when I shut the door behind me Joey would hide in a corner until I return.
Joey is a rather clingy cat and it's not always practical for me to watch over him all the time. ♂️
What a happy coincidence!
Apparently today is International Cat Day so luckily I took a photo of Toffee checking out a shady spot in advance of the heatwave that's forecast for later in the week
It has been so warm here this week that the cats are enjoying being out in the garden instead of cuddled up indoors.
Ray had just woken up and was quite surprised to see me sitting in 'his' end of the garden which is right down the end and in the shade.
I am so very busy at work at the moment so only able to pop by occasionally.
Milu went for a follow up appointment yesterday at the vet's and we are waiting the results of her second lot of blood tests to see if the medication for her thyroid is working. She has put on one gram - wooo hooo! and I have noticed she has slowed down a little so hopefully we are going in the right direction.
Happy Furry Friday everyone
Wishing you a safe and healthy weekend
I have been back at home for a couple of days now after my surgery. Firstly, the brilliant news is that they managed to take away the diseased bowel without the need of a stoma. My stomach looks like it has a zip with around 30 staples in it. It all went well and I am looking forward to a full recovery. I will catch up with you slowly as I still do not have that much energy. But as it is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, I felt it a good opportunity to drop by
I used to be such a crazy cat lady that I noticed that Mack had one black whisker the whole time he was growing up. There is NO WAY I'm pathetic enough to notice he suddenly now has TWO! One on each side! How cute is that?!
Actually, what's even more exciting than Mack having two black whiskers is that there is some color in the background. I had him sit right in front of the only flowers in our quad for this photo shoot.
Happy Caturday: Whiskers
This is another of our neighbours' cats, who was watching me leave early yesterday morning. They have Mango and Tango so we call this one Fandango
I was taking photos of Tango as he was sleeping on the cat tree when suddenly he jumped up and started swatting at something. Being at a distance I couldn't see what was bothering him, until I downloaded the photos and saw the busy bee

For The Smile on Saturday group - "On Top Of The Fence"
I posted this photo to Flickr several years ago, just before losing the original when my computer became infected.
It gained hundreds of faves and I was thrilled to find it was selected for Explore.
Then I accidentally deleted it! Unfortunately this can very easily happen on a mobile device and there is no way of retrieving a deleted photo.
Now it has just appeared on my FB memories so I am sharing it again as it’s one of my favourite shots of my gorgeous Maine Coon when he was a kitten.
Unfortunately the EXIF data is no longer available, but I’m nevertheless very happy to have the picture back. 😻
And from Ella and Jimmy too.
We are thankful for our Flickr friends and wish you all a wonderful 2019 filled with laughter, delight, health and rich experiences that will bring back happy memories in future years.
BTW, that rust colored background is just a fence that got completely blurred. If not for the text, this shot would be SOOC.
