For my Cats and Books album. That small area below Benji's right eye really shows up in this photo. There isn't any fur there. He had it when he found me so many years ago when he was very young and a hungry skinny stray. Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is always appreciated!

I noticed a little tag on the stuffed cat the other day and saw her name was Marlene. She was a gift from a friend several years ago and I just saw that she has a name. Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is always appreciated!

Henry's 'owners' have a lot of cats!! They got two more a couple of years ago and have recently let them out and, of course, they have headed straight into our garden. When I went out into the garden this morning there was Wotsit sitting on our cats' 'tree'. The new cats are both ginger, though one has a bit of white like Ray. The totally ginger one (in the photo) is called Wotsit after a well known British cheese-flavoured corn puff snack which is orange in colour. The other cat is called Mango who we have only seen fleeting glimpses of. This cheeky one tried to come into our house today, but Ray (there's only room for one orange boy) chased him out

Jerri loves to try and capture birds flying by the window!

Happy Caturday

Brad Pitt wishing you a Happy Summer Solstice today 21st June 2019.

I'm glad because from tomorrow the days will be shorter!

Living in woods we work until the sun goes down ;-)

We go on holiday next Friday so this weekend will be spent getting things ready.

Happy Furry Friday!

My twin kitties seldom cuddle like this, so I couldn't resist grabbing a shot of them doing so the other day! Temps have gotten a bit chilly (finally), so that probably accounts for their sweet and loving behavior, as they are normally chasing each other all over and acting pretty raucous. When you see them like this, they look like little angels, don't they? NOT!!!

Mango was sitting at the top of the garden cat tree watching the birds. It brings back memories of our orange boy, Ray sitting up there. Mango has the most magnificent tail

Ray is a master of meditation and will sit in the garden for hours 'in the zone'.

We have a public holiday on Monday and, what do you know, the sun is going to shine. Yeah!! After a waterlogged May we could sure use a bit of warmth and blue skies. It is also half term next week and as we are still in a state of not being able to holiday overseas, without great difficulties, it will mean lots of tourists in our lovely Forest from this evening onwards. We will probably go out early tomorrow morning for a quick walk but then stay at home in the garden for the rest of the weekend to avoid all the tourists. However, we will be tourists ourselves the week after next as we are going up to Northumbria for a week away. We enjoyed it so much last year we have booked the same cottage on the farm which is only 5 minutes across the road from the beach. (see photo below)

Happy Furry Friday everyone

Wishing you all a happy and relaxing weekend

The friendliest of pusscats ... This cat at Winkworth Arboretum just wanted attention ... It would follow young children and wait to be picked up, at times it was carried around rather clumsily but didn't seem to mind ... This photo was taken when I called the cat over and it came immediately, I just had enough time to click the shutter before it was at my feet ...

Enjoying the sunshine in the picnic area at RSPB Arne Dorset.

Santa arrived early with a new lens which I'm hoping to use to

capture images of our garden birds.

But today was incredibly busy work wise and the birds were nowhere to be seen so here's another photo of Toffee

met this handsome devil this evening, walking home from work, sitting on a garden wall, the better to watch people passing by and surveying their kingdom. Friendly chap, I stopped to chat, they stuck their head out to gets some ear scratches, and in return I got a friendly head bop.

This is Leo, my 8 year old epileptic cat. Thankfully he hasn't had a seizure for several weeks, but he has been very poorly today, although by bedtime he was looking a bit brighter.

These two really have a thing going for each other! Another not posed photo of Benji and his tabby friend who needs a name. Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is always appreciated.
