Ginger è un vero Amore !!! La mia passione per i Carlini è oramai cosa nota, ma questo esemplare è davvero perfetto ed in più è il cane di un futuro collega veterinario...E' stata oggi operata per correggere quella che si chiama Sindrome del cane brachicefalico e che le causava importanti difficoltà respiratorie. Da oggi potrà godersi la vita...respirando a pieni polmoni !!!

Ginger and his brother Thor, were given to mom & dad years ago. They lived like kings in Camelot. Hundreds of acres with thousands of mice.
Ginger died on 12/11/07. The cat world has lost a great one.

The red blooms of ginger are everywhere on Tutuila; this is somewhere on the road/trail to Fagatele Bay.
We have quite a few of these plants growing near the trellis with the kiwi vines. The variety is called "butterfly ginger." We also have pineapple ginger and edible ginger. They spread very well by rhizomes. The edible ginger has to be kept in pots as it's cold sensitive, but these decorative gingers do very well in the ground here.
