Well after shooting the vertical comp here and then moving to the other shots taken of the monuments there at Little Round Top (see below the series of images taken at the top of the hill here), I did come back and take a horizontal frame at the Castle monument as the clouds were really rolling by. I also at this point knew the trees would be in the frame, and would be really blurred with the wind that was blowing quite hard. In the end I think the blowing trees add a neat element to the shot, and would have been really cool had they been on both sides.

Also at this time, during this exposure, quite a few people were walking about in front of the castle and up on the 2nd level. For the most part they vanished in the bulb exposure. There were three people though in white shirts that spent about 15 to 20 seconds there inside the "doorway", and against the dark shadowy interior, they show up as ghosts :) I could clone them away, but they add a cool mystique to the image I think.

Well Hidden Ghost Sign

Grand Rapids, Michigan

Another shot of Ghost Riders Motorcylce. For those who asked how this was built, Some of you may be able to figure it out from this. BUT, I will also put together a build video for it in the near future, so stay tuned.

I am continuing my attempt at dealing with ghosts. This time, it's a different camera (Fuji X-Pro3) and a different lens (the equipment is more hi-tech). I am still sitting in the garden shed, but - different from the previous series - I have used a reflector to pump more light into the shed.

The old advertising signs on the side wall of this old house on Millgate in Newark are not spotted later in the year when the ivy growth is at its maximum! In the winter and early spring, when most of the old leaves have been blown away, these ghost signs from another age are revealed.

The house is old and many of the houses along this road date from the 16th through to the 19th centuries. The road has many wharfs just off it as the River Trent is only about 50m away and it was a very busy road with shops and pubs along it but I cannot find specific info about this house at all. The signs suggest it was a shop sometime in its recent past.

This is a digital inversion of a cyanotype made in-camera. The exposure was 3 hours at f/2.8 using traditional cyanotype chemistry. The ghost was in the frame for 55 minutes before it wandered off to haunt another strange photographer who uses cyanotype for film. Ghost by Syndenn Sweet.

A Ghost Crab on the beach. This one is about 5 inches from side to side. In an instant they can disappear below the sand. When they choose to run rather than hide they are incredibly fast as the scamper sideways across the sand.

I don't know how long the Security Bank has been out of business as an independent bank, but I'm pretty sure it's measured in decades. I took this with a 2005-era Nikon digital camera. I figured if I was going to take pictures in the city's antique district, I might as well use an antique (in digital terms) camera.

This may be the incorrect name, but the closest match i have found so far! I saw this on the beach in Boa Vista.

I accidently accessed the Interval shooting mode on my camera which took this image of a couple walking passed the beach huts at Blyth.
