I was playing wiht my S3 ... recently. I always wanted to take such a picture... but I am not quite sure how to do "the ghost thing" properly.
Settings were like this:
ISO: around 60 -70
Shutter Speed: 25 sec
Aperature: 5.0
I took the picture and counted to 10, then I ran and sit on the bench and after 10 sec I got up walked away slowly... Does anyone knows how to get rid of this "smudges" from the left side of the picture? (of course it's a little bit Photoshopped) but the real ghost effect is made by me with my camera.
this was taken... whilst working, during a few minutes break. i really enjoy going to work in this place because it's in the middle of nowhere away from london's hussle and bussle.
i've set the SLR at f22 (13" exposure) and then went to stand behind the christmas tree with my little sony camera ready to flash so i could be on the shot as a 'ghost'.
The balloon "we are in love" describes the intimate relationship between an individual and their depression and the concept that it's as hard to let go of it like it would be to let go of a lover.
The two faces aren't as clear as I would have hoped, I apologise. This image represents being torn between two personalities: the mask she puts on to satisfy others and the other face- her true, broken self when she removes the mask.
Chris and me at 1 in the morning. We were trying to shoot a cover for our Christmas EP, but this was all we got.
I thought that this wouldn't happen in Ubuntu...
So I am using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, and the latest version of Firefox 2. I was trying to refresh a youtube page so I can get sound working, and then firefox crashed. I was playing Neverputt at the time, and I moved the window around and this happened.
It only ever happens in Firefox. Why?
I designed the artwork for this ages ago, and now I got mine, best thing my drawings have been screen printed onto. definitely.
The quote "the sun still shines but sometimes I don't feel it" inspired this image. The model, with these feelings, is trying to desperately cling on to her youth, searching for that 'full of light and hope' temperament and wishing to feel alive again.
The model appears calm as she stares into the void, too tired to tackle what else the darkness attempts to hurt her with.
one evening while listening to the songs on radio I got up, put the camera on timer and had fun dancing.. I enjoyed coz nobody was watching :-)
I liked my hair then.. now they have grown lil longer and the layers aren't visible too. I want to try some very different and short hairstyle but dont know what would be suitable.. maybe i will just be adventurous and use the summers as an excuse.
After making some fine adjustments and setting in my camera to Raw Format, I was able to create "Ghost Boy" with my Nikon.
Absolutely No Photoshop was used for this -( other than the watermark)
All the photos including this one is about a project to stylize Karachi city of lights (Pakistan) and these are the students and teachers decorating a wall , bus stand and pedestrian and also some part of a road near Park tower in Clifton area near Mausoleum of Sufi Saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi.
This is a picture of the Virgin Mary statue at Little Flower Church overlayed onto a picture of the church windows to give the 'ghost effect'.

The blood does not represent physical harm. What I wanted to illustrate is how once you've been touched by depression, it's like a lifetime of permanently having 'blood on your hands.'
