When there's something strange in the neighbourhood ...
Sadly, sights like this are not that strange. According to a report by Greenpeace in 2019, more than 640,000 tonnes of nets, ropes, lines, etc used in commercial fishing are abandoned, lost or otherwise discarded in the sea every year, the same weight as 55,000 double-decker buses.
Apart from the obvious risks to marine life this so called "ghost gear" presents, it's also sad to see so many of our seabirds, like this Gannet, using bits of it as nesting material.
Governments and the fishing industry, not our seabirds, need to be the Ghostbusters on the end of the call!

Jet Streams are cold and strong winds circulating high in the atmosphere. Because of them we failed to climb Mera Peak (on this photo), but aren't they great artists??? Yes, we were angry that we didn't climb this bl**dy mountain, but not for long...

Going through old files I found this from the dining room of the Crescent Hotel, one of the most haunted hotels in the US. I'll testify to that as I stayed there three times. Each time I had a " visitor ". Orb to the left of photo seated at the table. A smaller one at the front table to the right of photo.

The ghostbusters, 263 of them were at this event to register a Guinness World Record for the most number of ghosts dressed as in the movie's, at a single venue.
