Η Νήσος ύδρα πανηγυρίζει την 14η Νοεμβρίου τον Πολιούχο και προστάτη της Άγιο Νεομάρτυρα Κωνσταντίνο τον Υδραίο
Ydra island celebrates at November 14th its Patron St. Constantine the Hydraian new Martyr
Ύδρα ανύδρω νυν ρέει ύδωρ ξένον,
Tων ιαμάτων εκ σορού Kωνσταντίνου.
Βίος
Ο Άγιος Κωνσταντίνος γεννήθηκε στην Ύδρα και ο πατέρας του ονομαζόταν Μιχαήλ, η δε μητέρα του Μαρίνα.
Δεκαοκτώ χρονών έφυγε από την Ύδρα και πήγε στη Ρόδο, κοντά στον Τούρκο ηγεμόνα Χασάν Καπετάν. Εκεί ο Κωνσταντίνος παρασύρθηκε και έξισλαμίστηκε, με το όνομα Χασάν και για τρία χρόνια απολάμβανε μεγάλες τιμές. Αργότερα όμως, συναισθάνθηκε το ολίσθημα του και άρχισε να μετανοεί. Έκανε ελεημοσύνες και έκλαψε πικρά. Τελικά, για να εξιλεωθεί αποφάσισε να μαρτυρήσει. Βρήκε λοιπόν κάποιο πνευματικό, εξομολογήθηκε και ζήτησε την ευχή του να μαρτυρήσει. Ο πνευματικός του όμως τον απέτρεψε, διότι φοβήθηκε το νεαρό της ηλικίας του. Ο Κωνσταντίνος έκανε υπακοή, εγκατέλειψε τη Ρόδο και πήγε στην πόλη Κρίμι, κατόπιν στην Κωνσταντινούπολη και από 'κει στο Άγιον Όρος.
Στην Μονή Ιβήρων, προετοιμάστηκε για το μαρτύριο και αφού πήρε την ευχή των πατέρων ήλθε στη Ρόδο. Εκεί, παρουσιάστηκε στον ηγεμόνα και με θάρρος ομολόγησε τον Χριστό. Τα βασανιστήρια που ακολούθησαν ήταν φρικτά. Τελικά τον απαγχόνισαν στις 14 Νοεμβρίου 1800 μ.Χ.
Σήμερα, στη γενέτειρα του την Ύδρα, υπάρχει λαμπρότατος Ναός στο όνομα του, όπου βρίσκεται και το ιερό του λείψανο.
Biography
Saint Konstantinos was born in Hydra, and his father was called Michael, and his mother Marina.
Eighteen years old he left Hydra and went to Rhodes, near the Turkish ruler Hassan Kapetan. There, Constantine was dragged and defeated, with the name of Hassan, and for three years he enjoyed great prizes. Later, however, he felt his slumber and began to repent. He made mercies and cried bitterly. In the end, to be redeemed, he decided to testify. So he found some spiritual, confessed and asked for his wish to bear witness. His spiritualist, however, prevented him because he was afraid of his young age. Constantine obeyed, abandoned Rhodes and went to the city of Crimea, then to Constantinople and then to Mount Athos.
In the Monastery of Iveron, he was prepared for the martyrdom and after he had received the wish of the fathers he came to Rhodes. There, he presented himself to the ruler and courageously confessed Christ. The torture that followed was terrible. Eventually it was hanged on November 14, 1800 AD.
Today, in his birthplace Hydra, there is a brilliant Temple in his name, where his sacred relic is.

Ο κεντρικός Ι.Ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου στο Δολό κτίστηκε το 1812.Το καμπαναριό κατασκευάστηκε το 1833 με αρχιμάστορα τον Πασχάλη Ζούνη από την γειτονική Πωγωνιανή και η διαρρύθμιση στα παράθυρά του έγινε το έτος 1870 .
Ιδιαίτερη μνεία αξιζει να γίνει για το χοροστάσι έξω από την εκκλησία το οποίο έγινε από τις εισπράξεις της θεατρικής παράστασης "Βοσκοπούλα" που παίχτηκε στο Δολό την 10η Απριλίου 1910 με ηθοποιούς Δολιώτες και Δολιώτισσες, σημειώνοντας μεγάλη επιτυχία !!!

Η δολίνη του Πετρόπορου Petroporo's doline

This is a wonderful geological phenomenon right next to the archaeological site of Ancient Pelina in the village of Petroporos, Trikala, Thessaly,Hellas (Greece)
A crater, or,a geological pit, about 300 meters in diameter and about 100 meters deep has been created there.
Scientists attribute this to the gradual disintegration and eventually precipitation part of the rocks.
Others talk of a meteor fall while locals refer to it as "Vuntzma" or "Zurpapa" and associate it with relevant local legends (about an impious priest in love with his own daughter) who gain significant interest after the sudden disappearance of the village Gardiki which existed there since the Byzantine years.

沒有想過，會在這裡遇上這樣的大浪來襲，在我們抵達鳥兜山頂時，雲霧開始湧進，拍完回到纜車站時，雲霧已蓋上山頂，並且飄了一小段雨。只能說運氣真好，這一天大夥都很開心 :D
