And unlike the Ottawa delicacy, no beavers were harmed in the making of the treat.

A few years back when we were up in Oelwein visiting Deb and Gigi's dad we encountered one of those good 'ol Iowa snowstorms. The Graf girls, not easily deterred, headed out anyways on a morning walk with Gigi's pup, Molly. As the walk proceeded and the snow got deeper, much deeper, they suddenly realized they might need help getting back so they called their dad and Don got in his pick-up and went and rescued his girls. Gigi snapped a great pic as a reminder of their day. Where I was is a good question, I've always been terrible about carrying a phone.
