On Friday we chose an adventure in Chloe's favorite woods. We were going to Worship Central so we wanted to make sure we gave her some attention before leaving her at home all night. We didn't have loads of time so the walk was only 45 minutes. I don't think she was happy with this, because as soon as she spotted the car (about 10 feet away) she just plopped down in the middle of the road and would not get up! Silly pup!

Getting ready to be out and about in the warm sunshine!! Next Thursday, we are all off to Tenerife in the Canary Islands for a couple of weeks!
Five grandchildren, their mums and dads and my good wife and myself .... think I'll be out and about walking! Plenty adults to look after the little ones! 😉

Friday night we recovered nearly 300 bottles and about 20ish jugs of expensive organic hippy juice from the vicious jaws of a dumpster. Each one of those costs three bucks retail. So yes, that’s a score worth well over a grand before we even hit up trader joes. All in my friend Oriens truck that runs on vegetable oil.

I've realized I suck at packing
I know - you all haven't really seen me for a while... the next 2 pics are ones WITH me! I got a new flash for XMAS and I have a hard time giving over my camera! Plus, a bit of a weight gain makes me want to not take pics of myself!
My husband has recently taught the dog to 'get the cat'. So now all it takes is three words and the dog zones in on the cat and they chase each other around the house.
I seem to be getting the hang of this "footy photography from the stand" lark. Today's CIS Cup Final between Glasgow Rangers and Dundee United produced a number of shots I'm very happy with...particularly of the celebrations after Rangers won. :-)
For most of the match we were outplayed and Dundee United will (rightly) consider themselves unlucky. However...and I can't stress this enough...WE WON (albeit after a penalty shoot out)!
This is Kris Boyd scoring Rangers 2nd goal in extra time, to make the score 2-2. It came as quite a relief. :-)
Kris Boyd has a number of weaknesses in his game...BUT he certainly knows the route to goal. Woo-Hoo!

Little Akaloa....Out and about with my Flickr and blip friend on Banks Peninsula. February 20, 2016, New Zealand.
It was warm and wonderful so we packed up a lunch and headed for the hills and bays around the banks peninsula. It reached will over 30c today.. a bit too hot at times and there was no wind at all.
The historic gem of Little Akaloa is a church hidden away among old trees, commanding a fine view down the bay. The present St Luke's replaced an earlier wooden church and was completed in November 1906. It has an "old world" English-looking exterior, with walls of pebble dash on concrete, a slate roof and a small well-proportioned bell tower.
The surprise is the interior, which is embellished with carvings of predominantly Maori motifs, many delicately executed on white stone. The rafters are decorated with Maori patterns and support an imitation raupo rush ceiling. The windows have stylised Maori designs in coloured glass.
The church was built (and partly paid for) by a local resident, J.H. Menzies, who was "an amateur carver of the very highest order". It is one of the country's early examples of the incorporation of Maori decorative motifs in a European building.

A small retail store that seems to have about everything in clothing from all era's, on Anaheim St in Wilmington. A true urban Wilmington, area of Los Angeles scene.
Savannah will have her surgery on Friday where we will have to address her eye, ear, leg, and of course we'll get her spayed. Meanwhile, she is gaining weight, hanging out with us, dealing with her parasites (she has hook worm... a nasty little thing that is also contagious to humans through the skin).
In a few weeks she will be like a brand new dog :-)

Spent some time in the garden late this afternoon considering if I need to get the lawn mower out soon. Also noticed some tender spring growth and thought I get more acquainted. There was definitely a connection happening.

Getting around to uploading the pictures from our wonderful 6 weeks on the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland to make sure they're kept safe. Perhaps surprisingly, this was Danger Ted's first encounter with a ladybird.
