Here is a video medley from my full body MRI. My favorite part is the heart.
Gen and I got to compare our results - we both have big heads and hippocampi, but she is off the charts on muscle mass. Now we can measure who has the larger spleen (which is the criteria for picking which player goes first in Exploding Kittens)
I spent a full 2 hours in the Siemens MRI tube and got a lot of imagery. To get the video of my heart beating, they had electrodes on my chest to synchronize the imaging to the heart beat. www.healthnucleus.com Full disclosure: we were the founding VC investor in Human Longevity Inc.
The integrated report (with full genome analysis, microbiome, and body fat and blood tests) is in process, but from first skim of MRI, the good news is that Gen and I are free of solid tumors and aneurysms. That puts us in the lucky 70%. 30% of those scanned so far have one, including a good friend, 10 years younger than me, who is alive today because of this scan... as well as the first two members of the SGI board who took the scan. It is a bit tragic that we typically detect lethal tumors when we notice the symptoms, and that is too late in the cycle (as with my Dad and his pancreatic cancer).
Everyday this flag goes up, every night she comes down. Sometimes she struggles to get up that old ratty homemade pole, catches here and there, but in the end she flies no matter what. And without question this old flag will keep doing just that.
And that's what matters.
On an off topic I think I have been awaken from my stink of a slump. It ceases to amaze me that during the initial phase of a new life chapter I tend to make misery of it. Well, I'm not throwing in the towel, not giving in to the incessant mental incapability of the world around me. A place called home is nothing more than what you make of where you stand.
And that's what matters.

The only thing I dont like is that if I would like to put her in a 2 piece bathing suit I wont be able to. She has a speaker holes on her chest. =[
I'm trying to get organized, I like having as many elements as possible on hand......this allows each piece to be one of a kind.
I've been so under the gun to get this bike done in time for Classic Rendezvous Weekend that I've totally dropped the ball with taking and posting pictures. I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel so I figured I'd catch up a little

He is writing a new book about the "It Gets Better" project. He ran across my Flickr photo collage linked below, and asked if he could use it in his book.
I told him that I couldn't give him permission to use that particular collage because I don't own the rights to any of the original images. But, I offered to create a new collage in which I would get advanced permission to use the images from the photographers/subjects. For this new collage, I decided to focus specifically on friends that I have made here on Flickr.
I'm excited about being asked to participate in this project. And, at the risk of sounding mushy, I'm charmed that all of the individuals in this collage agreed to participate. I have made so many wonderful friends on Flickr who have inspired me and supported me, both creatively and personally. These are but a few who I am closest to. Unfortunately, I was not able to include every great contact I have made on Flickr. So, I hope that no one feels left out.
This is the final collage that I have submitted for publication. I also wrote the caption below, understanding that the author may or may not be able to include it and/or may need to edit or rewrite it.
"After joining Flickr.com, I quickly discovered that it's much more than a photo sharing site, it's also a social network. I have met dozens of wonderfully creative, and friendly people on Flickr, from all around the world. When I started seeing several of my Flickr friends post photos with the "it gets better" theme, I realized that it really does get better… not in spite of being gay, but because of being gay. Being gay doesn't prevent friendships, it creates friendships.
Chris Pullen asked me if he could use a collage that I had created of photos of family, friends and loved ones in this book. Instead, I offered to create this new collage specifically featuring Flickr friends from across the US, including Puerto Rico and as far-reaching as the Canada, The United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Brazil."
Why is it so difficult to get a slideshow onto flickr?! The quality is much reduced and it ends abruptly although my file is high quality with a fade out :( Therefore best seen small…… ipad is ideal ;o)
Anyway, I thought this might be a better way of presenting my weird fireworks photos and contains all the pictures in the Focus blur album and some more :)
If it stutters, pausing it for a while might help so it can build a buffer.

These are photos taken on my trip to Europe and the UK with a girl friend in October to November 2012. My camera I had then wasn't good with low light so some of these shots are not great but I have put them as my memories of the trip.

211017 Arriva 221 heads past Sprey point and approaches Teignmouth with the 1V47 0807 Manchester Piccadilly to Paignton.Thought it would be a bit more windy today given all the warnings about of Storm Brian,however there was a reasonable swell running which was well defined.
A pair of Habronattus (I think H. pyrrithrix) jumping spiders. The male displayed a little bit for the female, but maybe when he saw she was distracted with her meal, he decided to move in carefully without doing too much dancing. But she apparently didn't like having her dinner interrupted, because although he managed to get close to her a few times, she kept kicking him away, and finally he got the message and gave up.
