My neighborhood, just love our hikes among blueberries, heather, spruce, birch and pine😄

Norway

Like chasing ducks when mom isn't prepared for the run.......

It's peaceful here, I hope you can see that through my eyes🙏

N💝rway😄

Aiko said Hello to the ducks💨💨💨 😁

He was a bit stuck on the rock afterwards because it was deep water😂

He understood that he had to jump, but didn't jump until I encouraged him and said he would survive😁

Rutland Osprey fishing at nearby Horn Mill Trout Farm, Oakham, UK

Having dived and made the catch the Osprey's next task is to getout of the lake and take off.

The Ospreys return from Africa every year to breed. This male Osprey, tagged Blue 28 at birth, fledged at Rutland in 2010 and first returned 2012, and has been a regular since. At this stage it will be returning fish to the nest at Rutland Water to feed chicks.

Well, it can take a while - she hasn't lit the fire yet 😂

I think that the best experiences you get come especially when you don't expect anything.

This is Karmøy, facing towards United Kingdom and the North Sea.

This evening I brought my old mom on sunset adventures and we had a blast 😂

Precious memories 🙏

This hummingbird was working hard to protect "her" garden. No trespassers allowed, not even butterflies!

This flows through the Llanberis pass towards Llyn Peris.

(Pont y Cromlech to Gwastadnant)

NAME OF RIVER: Nant Peris.

WHERE IS IT?:Draining right from Pen y Pass near Snowdon in Snowdonia, it follows the Pen y Pass road.

PUT-INS/ TAKE-OUTS: Get on after Pont y Cromlech bridge above Cromlech Boulders (Ask any miserable looking climbers in the 'Heights' at Llanberis). See below for the getout in Gwastadnant village.

APPROX LENGTH: 3-4 km.

TIME NEEDED: Unknown.

ACCESS HASSLES: No problems known.

WATER LEVEL INDICATORS: Lots of intense rain is required, not the usual steady week that gets the others going. A summer's thunderstorm is the best bet. I've only boated it in the summer, and this appears the norm.

The water level is rather crucial for this little stream. Usually its dry, but if everythings awash it's worth a look. If the Nantygwyryd is running there's hope. Too little water and you'll pin and break things. If you might have difficulty getting under any of the bridges then get in the mood for some hair if you run the top 200m.

GRADING: 5 or harder.

MAJOR HAZARDS/ FALLS: Steeeep. It is rather steep, in fact very steep for the first 200m. It so rarely has water that all the rocks haven't been eroded significantly, and will therefore cause you great discomfort if you come into contact with them.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Now the river. It's quite inspiring to paddle, cos unlike the murky brown mess that is Welsh boating, the Peris runs irridescent blue. The first 200m can get a little hairy, but basically follows a left hand bend through a jumble of nasty sharp chokestones. Swimming is bad, although has been survived, with knee injury. Pinning can also be expected.

The next km or so is beautiful continuous water, and will be a breeze after what's been before.

Once the trees close in and drystone walls line the river be careful, as a wire needs to be portaged. Get out shortly after, river right, where a path leads from the car park in the village before the lake.

"Never grumpy when out hiking", is a Norwegian saying.

I often think about this because I feel that I am so lucky having a gorgeous scenery to hike in and ofc Aiko ❤💝❤ He is the one reason why we are out hiking, and I have realized that it has become a necessity for me too to move my butt out of the house.

So yes, never grumpy 😊

Flickr Friday is asking for photos that has to do with Your Culture this week, it was quite obvious what my theme would be

Outdoors

Out hiking

Norwegians love their hikes and enjoy the forest and beaches and mountains :D - and all the paths there is all over this country - and there is a lot

We are very eager and Mark enjoys this too - so he fits perfectly in - and thanks for that

Weit über dem Göschenenalp Stausee blühen im Juni, unzählige Alpenrosen. Die ganzen Bergflanken sind voll davon.

thank you [https://www.flickr.com/photos/136718239@N05] for the costume! 💜

Took a little trip to this beautiful place ... came back a totally different person . Beauty in this world changes people And I feel sorry for those who choose to stay home and watch tv instead of exploring this amazing place that we live in.

Here in the Upper Palatinate Forest, you can find various forms of the so-called spheroidal weathering (also known as “woolsack weathering” / "Wollsackverwitterung") in certain areas — a geological process in which blocks of granite are rounded off by both physical and chemical weathering, creating their characteristic, pillow-like shapes.

In the photo, you can see the so-called “Brotfelsen” (Bread Rock) displaying this typical weathering pattern on a misty November day in 2021. The scene is truly impressive — a wonderful, tranquil atmosphere to be quietly enjoyed in the stillness of nature.

Beautiful nature of Norway

Beautifull landscapes of Norway

A quiet morning in late autumn, deep in the peaceful forests near my home. The soft light creates a magical atmosphere, with moss-covered ground and trees adding to the sense of calm. Walking here feels grounding, and afterward, I return home with a wonderful feeling, ready to enjoy a hearty breakfast with my family. Moments like these are what make autumn such a beautiful season.
