I wanted an epic portrait of my small dog, Maurice, but he was more interested in licking my X-T1 than posing. This picture was the most fun to me, and depicts the moment well. Might not be the best technically, since I've blown out the flash (hadn't dialed it back perfectly yet), and there is some flaring, but I don't mind. I actually like how my dog's hairs around his legs take up and contain the light, creating a halo-like effect.
I had fun doing it, and I think this is the purpose of these challenges. Looking forward to the next one.
The Green Heron is relatively small; adult body length is about 17 inches. The neck is often pulled in tight against the body. Adults have a glossy, greenish-black cap, a greenish back and wings that are grey-black grading into green or blue, a chestnut neck with a white line down the front, grey underparts and short yellow legs. La Biblioteca del Trinity College posee la mayor colección de manuscritos y libros impresos de Irlanda. Desde 1801 recibe un ejemplar de todas las obras publicadas en Irlanda y Gran Bretaña, gracias a lo cual, actualmente posee casi tres millones de libros repartidos en ocho edificios.
El edificio de la Antigua Biblioteca, construido entre 1712 y 1732, es el más antiguo de los que se conservan. La sala principal, conocida como "Long Room" (Habitación Larga), tiene 65 metros de largo y contiene más de 200.000 de los libros más antiguos de la biblioteca.
Las infinitas estanterÃas repletas de libros inundan el ambiente con su olor a madera antigua mientras decenas de bustos de mármol vigilan la estancia. En una vitrina se expone el arpa más antigua que se conserva de Irlanda, realizada en roble y sauce con cuerdas de bronce.
