She's 8 and a figure skater. Or so we thought. In January of 2023, she joined girls under 9 hockey. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be already travelling to her first tournament and seeing her actually win. She's one of the smallest out there but she plays with heart and those little legs can fly.
As much as it is all for fun, before every game she becomes silent as she waits to take the ice. This is her wait before the championship.
Finally I found some courage to expose myself and my camera to the intense elements on the shore. I managed to fire of some handheld shots, and by getting low I was able to include the textures in the black sand, created by the strong winds. I underexposed quite a bit, and still had to shoot at ISO 800 to get a sharp image, because of the wind that constantly tried to blow me over. So I was quite pleased with the way this shot came out, with enough details and clarity to work with in the edit. After making this shot it was a matter of walking backwards to the shelter again, and look for more details over there. I had a great time and felt really alive, struggling with the elements. And if there is one place that fits these circumstances perfectly, it’s Vik!

Glowing Buttercups And Clover...
Getting low to the ground can give you the most unique point of view.... a field of buttercups and clover back lit by the setting sun, gives the sense to the viewer of being really small and the buttercups being really huge. "Hey look honey i shrunk the kids.. "

The City is still very quiet and hardly anyone around or on the trams. Still good day for photographs.
A telephone box is my inspiration - they are iconic but people are being asked what they can do with them in the future!
I got so low for this week's challenge, that I ended up underground. ;)
This was shot from the safety of the subway platform. I used a telephoto zoom to try and give the feeling that I was on the tracks.

I decided to try the upgrade for ON1 and used a white board behind the toys as a backdrop.
This is taken on the living room floor. I used a feature I didn't think I'd ever use.
Sky Swap.
Though not something I'd do without mentioning, it really gave a pretty bleh shot of the toys a Pop and a Wow!
I will attach another with the regular backround in the comments.
He left home some time ago and on days like this, she catches herself looking skyward, wondering where time went.
