One of my amazing Flickr friends nath&black reminded me that I had forgotten to add the on black link to this. Silly me. She also pointed out that when viewed on black, the green lamp really pops. She called it "the eye of the beast" which actually made me want to change the title! You really should check out nath&black's amazing photostream here www.flickr.com/photos/nathblack/ And of course you can see what she is talking about right here:

An exercise in seeing light and shapes.
I'm in the middle of painting and have removed the window coverings, furniture is in the middle of the room covered with drop cloths. I love morning light and when I walked by the room this morning I couldn't help but see this because it was so striking in shape.

Happy Fence Friday!
Oft shot location in downtown Tacoma for obvious reasons, crazy cool architecture and I've never been able to find out the inspiration for the flying elevator there, but I'm glad for it. :)
I would like to thank everyone for their warm wishes yesterday, I hesitated for days on what I'd say and in the end the whole story seemed appropriate. Tonia says thanks as well. I would like to reiterate that her prognosis is extremely good, oh, and she spoke to her Doc yesterday and she will not need a third surgery and probably will get radiation rather than chemo. yay!
I've been going around in circles lately......please forgive the sporadic communication as I am both traveling on and off and just plain catching up to the economy - but I'm watching everyone's wonderful work!
