Lenin April 22 Having decided to drive in the morning to the places where the memory remained in stone about a person who changed the course of history in St. Petersburg/Leningrad .I was surprised to find no place for a car. On the central square named after Lenin, parking was limited .... I headed to the Petrograd side, where Ilyich Street too. But driving past the Aurora cruiser, I decided to listen to my inner voice ... I got out of the car and found myself in a festive atmosphere! The sun, boats, the voices of tourists, and even a fisherman! But by the main frame of the day I was not ready yet ... It took almost an hour to talk, before I heard a word that could be understood in all languages! "Genius" Dropping his eyes from the sky down suddenly realized the moment! History in photographs is a subject worth observing .. 圣彼得堡

Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.

The choice of tool limits the possibilities.

Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.

The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...

The moment of observation is the real find ...

Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.

Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.

The meaning of all this is the process!

Mani meio comprada, meio trabalhada. HAHAHAH

The spirt of the place, or at least one of them hidden in the vividly hued stained glass windows in St Mary Redcliff church. Pleased with the shallow depth of field. It is something that I am not used to, and that the new lens seems to excel in.

Managed to salvage a hand full of photos from my old hard drive. Small possibility that the old hard drive with PS might be saved! My son is working on it.

Meanwhile, enjoy this photo of my genius friend's library!

I will be busy this week, I will catch up with you later...Wish you all a great week ahead...roy

This is a wonderful moment for self reflection. As a super genius my brilliance is often so extraordinary that the slightest miscalculation can be catastrophic. I get so focused that I don’t adjust particularly well to real life circumstances. There’s book smart and there’s people smart. Such is my plight as I sit here in my office wondering if another brilliant plan will result in falling off a cliff, an anvil dropped on my head, blown up or some combination and why I keep doing this to myself. But this plan is so good. I’ll really win this time!! What could go wrong?

Für das Genius Loci am WE

Exactly 10 days ago, I took this photograph. I was awe-struck then, and I still am, today.

Visiting and experiencing the Jean Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles was an extremely fun and enjoyable day for me! If I was like a kid again when I saw Disneyland, here at the Getty Center, I was a schoolboy once more. Brimming with amazement and delight to the magnificent collection of works of the stellar talents that ever existed in this world, in this lifetime! It was really huge for me to see and linger about the works of my artistic idols ~ Van Gogh, Paul Gaugin, Marc Chagall, Degas, Maillol, et al, et al, et al! I felt like a dwarf amongst the best artistic minds in the universe. Whew!

But, what added to my excitement was the fact that I was there with my family (Cara loved the fountains and ponds, she actually tried to wade in one!) and with two of my respected and cherished flickr friends! Ate Zeetz Jones and Virginia! Two of Flicker's geniuses!

Thank you, Ate Z, and V, for taking us to this awesome magical place!

(Behind-the-scene: We were waiting for the tram that would take us back down to the parking lot. I was chimping and poring over the photos I took when I wandered my eyes about. Looking up, I saw how blue the skies remained. And then I saw this beautiful architectural view. 'How the perfectly azure skies was framed right on it! I was reminded of those "Salem" cigarettes commercials. *Snap!*).

Single Frame Story! Blogged @ Virtually Vanilla.

Are we born understanding that there are some undeniable truths that can never be altered? Are we hard-wired to understand logical algorithms and speak in languages that everyone in the universe can understand, the language of numbers? Or are these ideas imprinted upon our sponge-like minds starting after taking our first breath?

We all start off in this world the same way: as a small insignificant seemingly empty egg. However, we are all equipped with the same powerful language that remains a constant throughout the universe and is the foundation for almost everything in life: math/science. We are all born with a unique intelligence and aptitude towards any number of talents and all we have to do is realize our potential.

I don’t believe that you have to be idolized or written about in books for centuries in order to affect change in the world. There are plenty of anonymous people out there who have made their undeniable mark upon the world; their legacy will never die. These people seem small and insignificant but what they do matters. You don’t have to be a genius to change the world or make a difference; you just have to have the ambition to push for your dreams no matter what comes your way.

This street view, which is probably a Mr. Brainwash copy of original Banksy art, has popped up in New York and other cities before. I think it was once found somewhere in the East Village.

Now these actual words of Albert Einstein greet park goers walking along the High Line at West 14th Street.

In an attempt to verify I came across "Einstein’s Last Answer." Well, it's food for thought.

Take a close look at this column of windows. You'll notice some genius design elements by Frank Lloyd Wright. On the corner of the windows where the two walls meet, this section is not load-bearing. Thus, the individual squares that you see from bottom to top are all windows that open up to give an unobstructed view of the outside. If you check out my photo titled "Unobstructed", you'll get a better idea of what I mean. The windows open up and let you see out the corner of those glass windows without framework in the middle obstructing your view. Such a cool design element.

Additionally, take a close look where the glass panes meet the stone walls. You'll notice there is not framework along the stone walls. They wanted the glass to just disappear into the stone, again, for a fluid view from inside to outside. The Fallingwater House in Mill Run, PA is WELL WORTH the stop! These plus many other genius innovations await you there.
