The Painted Desert runs from the Grand Canyon down into Petrified Forest National Park where you can access it. If you think that it might not be worth it to visit this place when you're down here, think again. It will be well worth your while.

The morning light was highlighting this small branch of new Japanese Red Maple leaves in my front yard. By late summer, the tree will be a deep red.

I shall be dipping in and out for the next few days - we have been invited to our neighbour's for a meal tomorrow night, Sunday evening Ben, Abby and the girls are eating here, Monday we are picking up Elsie from school and cooking in east London . . .maybe Tuesday will be normal!

In line at the Apple store for the launch of the Iphone 4 in Canada.
People began lining up at 9:30 pm on Thursday.
This was taken at 7 a.m. on Friday.
We had only been waiting about an hour so we found the stream of Apple geniuses* running through the line-up high-5ing everyone amusing at that point.
By noon, it was slightly less amusing.
* what Apple calls their sales/service reps ;D

I used Renee's ferns as the source for a DDG Text 2 Dream work with the prompt: The most beautiful Halloween Raven, under a full moon. I modified the canvas shape and removed some bats and corrected the moon in PS Beta 2023, v25.1, then applied two Topaz Studio looks as textures. I borrowed two eyes from one of my other works.

Ivančické viadukty majú svoje čaro v ktorejkoľvek dennej hodine, no iba počas najdlhších dní sa tu skoro ráno dajú vlaky fotiť s násvitom z tohto uhla. Malou zaujímavosťou je, že hoci sa mosty volajú Ivančické, vlaky idúce po moste cez obec Ivančice nejdú (trať do Ivančic sa kúsok za Moravskými Bránicami v smere z Brna stáča pravým oblúkom cca 200 metrov od viaduktov).
