Im generator#13 werden die Werke von vier sehr unterschiedlich arbeitenden Komponisten einander gegenübergestellt. Den Komponisten gemeinsam ist, dass jeder von ihnen eine Werkreihe für verschiedene Soloinstrumente unter Einbezug von elektronischen Klängen geschaffen hat. In seiner Reihe Synchronisms setzt Davidovsky die natürlichen Klangeigenschaften der Instrumente gegen ein nicht-temperiertes Klangkontinuum. Um dabei die Fixiertheit von Tonbandmusik zu überwinden, hat er sich hinsichtlich struktureller Komplexität, extremen Registern, Tempi und Tempowechseln mit Fragen nach den Grenzen der Wahrnehmung auseinandergesetzt. Auch beim Werk Anamorphoses III von Soveral dient die Elektronik dazu, die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten des Instruments zu ergänzen. Shot taken at Ancient Shiv mandir in Ambernath. Over 1200 years old. Built of interlocking black stone in the "hemadpanti" style. Covered with exqusite carvings. Has a "swayambhu" Shiv Ling. Some carvings are now falling off due to poor maintenance and neglect. The temple is the focus of a huge fair during Mahashivratri. This is one of three elevators in the house. This one and one other are hydraulic, lifted and lowered (very slowly) by a large piston. The third elevator is an Otis electric, installed in 1919. To power it, because Sarah liked to be independent of the city for anything, she had a generator installed. This is probably when the house was converted to electric from gas lighting.
