Former SP GP9R 3835 sits nose to nose with former IC GP10 8258 in the scrap line at NRE in Silvis, IL.
While the 8258 is still marked for Illinois Central on the sides, it has a faded Chicago Central green diamond logo on the nose!

Diese Tulpenzwiebeln( Happy Generation) habe ich letztes Jahr gekauft und nun blühen sie zum ersten Mal. Ich freue mich, dass sie aussehen, wie auf dem Verkaufsbild.
I bought these tulip bulbs (Happy Generation) last year and now they are blooming for the first time. I'm happy that they look like the sales picture.

This rustic brick barn perched on a grassy hill is almost out-of-time. It needs some serious repair soon or the roof will be completely gone in a couple of years. Unfortunately, these structural symbols of rural farm life are quickly disappearing. Photographed on the east side of Highway S14 (Balsam Avenue) just south of 190th Street near Klemme, Iowa.
Developed with Darktable 4.8.0.

This image is the fourth which was captured near Frome, after spending the night capturing the milky way.
After arriving at the location and switching lenses, I decided to ditch the tripod for mobility, as conditions would change quickly as the sun ascended.
Solanum mammosum is commonly known as nipplefruit, titty fruit, cow's udder, or, ambiguously, "Apple of Sodom". It is an annual or tender perennial plant in the Solanaceae family, part of the Solanum or nightshade genus, and a relative of the tomato and potato. This poisonous fruit is native to South America, but has been naturalized in the Greater Antilles, Central America and Caribbean. In Chinese culture it is known as five fingered eggplant. In Japan it is known as Fox Face. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solanum_mammosum
The plant is commonly used for festival floral arrangements especially for celebrating Chinese New Year. It has been considered as symbol of wealth due to the golden color and long lasting shape, and symbol of ‘five generations living together’, which to many Chinese, is symbol of traditional family value, happiness and prosperity .
Today happens is Chinese New Year, so I have one in my living room on my orange color table! In the first day of Chinese New Year, I Wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Wealthy New Year !!
