Every once in a while one of those cars you rarely, or never in this case, see in your area comes out and this was one of those times.

During the summer we spent some time in Rocky Mountain National Park. I hadn't been there in almost 20 years. It was such a joy to be there, seeing these places I had been dreaming about since I was in college. The place had such a huge impact on me emotionally. I just kept catching my breath again and again.
On this particular day we had originally planned to go to one of the more popular locations in the park, but when we reached the trail head it was overrun with people. Not really the experience I was hoping for nor the one I was trying to show my family. We ended up changing our plans and hiking in a different area, called Lumpy Ridge, that I hadn't spent much time in before. The hike up to this alpine lake was gorgeous. The sky was clear with these really dramatic clouds in all directions. Gem Lake itself was a treat, but the trail up there made the lake that much more worth it.

⦁ The morning greeted them with perfect weather warm sunshine, a soft breeze, and the peaceful sound of waves rolling behind the house. Their oldest daughter was already at school, leaving the house unusually quiet except for the baby’s tiny giggles echoing through the rooms.
⦁ He stayed home with the little one that day, knowing she preferred the comfort of home over busy crowds and loud places. So instead of going anywhere, he decided to bring the fun right to their own backyard beach. He carried out the floaties and set them carefully by the water. Hers, of course, was the Retro Coupe Floaty in purple, while he proudly claimed his Retro Bumper Floaty in blue.
⦁ The moment she saw them, her face lit up with excitement. He climbed onto his floaty dramatically, pretending to lose balance just to make her laugh. Around his daughters, he never cared about acting his age. He was the silly dad the one who made funny noises, splashed too much water, and turned simple afternoons into little adventures.
⦁ To him, every second with them mattered. If that meant letting the child inside him come back out, then so be it. After all, what was so wrong with having a goofy dad? Better to be the one making memories and laughter than some serious, grumpy father who forgot how to have fun.
⦁ And honestly, judging by the baby’s nonstop laughter floating across the beach that morning, he knew he was doing just fine.

The Free Spirits are examining the Accent Gems I got from the Discorama Discount store in Santa Paula.
After my repel into Moaning Cavern yesterday, I took my husband to this cool little place, right down the road.
The water is cool and refreshing. Not to mention, crystal clear.

Nearly everything in my yard right now is either a weed or is dead...not too much survived last year's summer/winter...I did find this one lovely gem...not all is lost...
These unplanned spots are worth to explore and photograph. They are literally gems enroute. We are travelling to Madyan from Jebel Al Lawz (which was closed for tourists and we could only make as near as 10KMs to it) and I am being dropped from the car for a solo exploration. My friends are at the gas station and look what I found. There are so many places on the earth which deserve a name really.
