Geek Pride Day? I'm pretty sure I don't need a special day (May 25th) to celebrate my geekdom!
That starship sailed a lonnnnggg time ago!
Possibly I need a day when I DON'T do anything geeky....
That said I don't mind celebrating the release of the first Star Wars film (1977), Towel Day, for fans of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams, and the Glorious 25 May for fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld.
So if I can upload a geeky photo munged together with Princess Beatrice's Royal Wedding Hat....
Well and good!
What's geeky about The Hat? Well, maybe not that much (though my Hat Tricks Photoset suggests otherwise) but still having fun with cartoons of it weeks afterwards is definitely a sign of ubergeekness...

Given my regressed geekdom I was way behind in terms of dating, girls and all that stuff. I was asked to a girl's choice dance by Betsy Ward, I was 17 at the time and she was a year younger than I. I don't remember the dance, but I do recall the doorstep at the end. I can't remember the details exactly, but it was something like :
me : "I have never kissed anyone"
her : "blah blah blah blah"
and then she kissed me.... I remember being not too impressed with my first kissing experience. Not that it was her fault per se just that awkward teenage experience, I am sure the feeling was mutual.
...And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the Lord did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu ... And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

Digital piece for an art show called NERDGASM: Nerd/geek erotic art.
This, along with my Princess Leia, were my submissions for the show. I went for a certain classy sexiness; not too revealing, but definitely stimulating the imagination, and also appreciative of the beauty of the female form.
I took inspiration for the Dalek's 'condition' from the Tex Avery wold whistling with its eyes popping out.
