This store is across the street from the Union Square Regal Cinema in NYC. It's a fun, if nerdy, place to hang out and indulge your comic/superhero/cult geekdom.
It's not totally filled but it's a lot of people.

I mentioned in another post recently that we're gradually turning all of our mugs from plain, boring mugs into fandom or geekdom mugs. These are the most recent additions to the change-over, which came in today's AmiAmi English haul! They weren't in the overall, large photo because they just didn't fit anywhere.
The two Fate mugs are both part of the recent Sanrio collaboration with the Grand Order game brand. Cu and Gil are both favourites in this house, and their designs by Sanrio are just too cute to resist!
The other mugs are more subtle. There's Blend S mug for Cafe Stile, a Sora yori mo tooi basho (A Place Further than the Universe) mug for the Penguin Manju Go observation ship, and a Future Gadgets Lab commemorative mug with the badge from Steins;Gate on it!

Every year I go to "Paw*Con". It's not a real, proper convention, though; my friends and I started calling it that because, in the furry fandom, gatherings of furries tend to be "meets", "circles", or "cons". Plus, it only became "Paw*Con" when we moved it from being hosted at Rozberk's place (where we called the gathering of Macro/MIcro fans, "Roz*Con") to Milwaukee where Geemo, Seph, and Quinn live.
I've been going every year since 2001. Each year I cook for my friends, we hang out, play games, see movies, and go to restaurants all while enjoying each other's company. Seeing as the first time we did this ended just days before my father passed away, this annual gathering has taken on a larger meaning for me than (probably) most others in attendance. For me, it's an annual reminder of my "family of choice": my closest friends, no matter how far apart we are.
For the Italian-themed dinner, no meal would be complete without roasted onions and bell peppers.
