February 25, 2019 – Geek Fun.
I’ve been told I’m a little strange… more than once. For many people, geek & fun cannot be uttered in the same breath. But on this quiet day off, I felt like taking apart a laptop would be a fun diversion. I was after the battery – and in this laptop they bury the battery inside so far you have to take the whole thing apart just to replace it. Silliness really – I suppose they prefer we buy a new laptop from them for $500 rather than replace a battery for $50. Anyway, battery retrieved plus all that dust blown out of there while I had it open. Back together and working like a charm – fingers crossed.
Another design for my third week of the #365patterns challenge. This weeks theme is GEEK CHIC, yes, the theme for the Fabric8 Contest organized by Spoonflower and Robert Kaufman Fabrics :-)

It's that time again! Every March the geeks gather in Austin, Texas for the annual SXSW Festival. Split into three sections, Interactive, Film and Music, this festival has something for everyone. Whether it's an up and coming band, an innovative piece of technology or an inspiring film, SXSW has it all. :)
