One of the exposed toothed gear wheels on a steam engine with a very liberal coating of oil and grease. My first thought with the texture theme was of something rough, but when I saw this grease glistening in the sun I just had to get in close for a photo.

Less than 50 minutes before the Hopping Egret, this Great Blue Heron declared it was done with breakfast, with a screech and a splashy takeoff.

Living on the coast, fishing is a very popular sport here. The lakes nearby have bass and crappie, and the gulf and laguna madre have speckled trout, flounder, redfish, kingfish, and several other less common species. People also fish for sharks in the Gulf. And a number of charter boats are available to venture way out for red snapper, marlin, and yellowfin tuna.

Too much "gear" for candid street work.
But I suppose if you have a couple of assistants to carry all the extra equipment.
The one thing I would like for rely intrusive gritty street work would be a big mate in bike leathers and boots. I have had one or two less than friendly reactions in Bristol, mainly from street traders. - - - I wonder why they don't want to be photographed!
(I have my suspicions, or maybe I just look aggressive).
I have great admiration for the bravery of street photographers working with short focal length lenses.
According to legend, Thirugnana Sambanthar was glorified by the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva at this holy place. Appar's sister Thilakavathiyar settled here during her later years and devoted her lifetime service to the Lord Shiva. Also notable saints Thirunavukkarasar, and Arunagirinathar visited and wrote many hymns on the Lord. Afflicted by a painful illness, Thirunavukkarasar prayed for relief at this temple where his sister Thilagavathiyar served and was cured.
This temple is the place where Lord Shiva destroyed three rakshashas(demons) and the three cities created by them. Saranarayana Perumal, another name of Lord Vishnu, is the one who gave the saram (arrow) to Lord Shiva for killing the demons.

The Spider Single Camera Holster is one of my favorite pieces of camera gear. I have owned it and used it on every shoot for a couple of years now. Besides making me feel like a
camera-slinger (This is the photography version of an old west gun-slinger), it is the most comfortable and...

Along The River Duoro in Porto,
is a Mobile Crane, w/lifting boom & large loading capacity, mounted to a 4-axle wagon-chassis.
This manually-operated Customs Railway Branch
material-handling-machine
was used for customs clearance of goods transported
to railway from The Duoro River.
Dating from the late 19th century.
The New Customs House established its connection to the railway system since 1888, the year of completion
of the Railway Branch on the eastern end of the building, connecting it to the Campanhã Train Station through a tunnel.
This Branch was connected to the network of rails & wagons deployed both inside & outside the building.
His is metal gear sahelanthropus, form Metal Gear Solid V, it belongs to Konami, so credits to them, designed by the brilliant Yoji Shinkawa.
I wanted to build this ever since I saw the trailer where it stands, and playing the game (40% completed so far) just made it more obvious, I was building it. It changes shape like the original, the rail gun actually shoots, but it is not minifig size, but it does have a few characters in there for fun, hope you spot them all!
Hope you like it!

Ralph Waldo Emerson. The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship.
I wanted to make another Mech Monday, and with the Death Stranding trailer I've been watching a lotf of MGS stuff this week.
This REX is based in an old moc I made back in 2013: www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/92219-me... but I made it now bigger and the mouth/cockpit has room for a minifigure. It should be still bigger to be in proper minifigure scale tho.
All of the gears rotate together but there is a LOT of resistance. Actually turned out kind of pretty. After building it I found a much better version in the second half of this YouTube video www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWWaMa4YjHs . AEH5040, www.youtube.com/channel/UC_u33rKRH2QkBF7TMHISWdQ , has a whole bunch of great Technic creations that put mine to shame.

♫♫ Dee Purple www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUwEIt9ez7M ♫♫ ............
