..you awaken to the sound of song birds .. when you get ready for thanksgiving or christmas
.. when the person you love chooses to be be right beside you.. when the kettle boils for your tea or coffee ..when you hear the sound of man's best friend running to greet you ..when you feed the ducks in the park and two of them stand on your shoes .. when your cat comes to you dragging a string ..when the rain begins .. and then when it ends .. the list of magical events can fill your day.. and mine.. lucky you .. lucky me
It's been in the news: "This is the first big partial eclipse to happen in the UK since 1999, and the next one isn't until August 2026, so this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity." - So all gear set up and waiting - hoping for a glimpse of that "once-in-a-generation" event...
BUT the weather didn't play by the rules where I live: Muddy skiess all morning... No sun to be seen, let alone the moon trying to cover it up...
Still, with all the gear in place, when the clouds went I decided to do a shot of the sun (background image - HDR'ed) and "post-processed" my moon in with Photoshop afterwards.
Ha: If you cannot rely on UK clear skies, create your own eclipse! ;-)

Some days you go out to capture a beautiful water mill on an open river, and you come back with shots of the worm gear used to open the the sluice gates, oh well, 'eye of the beholder' and all that...

I bought a Nikon D850 this year, it cost me a arm and a leg but I have it..... and that's about it 😂. It is far superior to what gear I had so far, but... I don't use it any differently that I had so far... :| . Rather than investing money in a expensive camera I should had bought a better tripod ( I have good lenses I only need a 600 mm) and I should had invest in traveling or doing something else. I don't regret buying it... but since I have it is stays in the dark.I really hope I will have some time to travel a little bit, the place where I am is quite dull and I don't really like taking portraits or human related, and I should really learn to do better images and create my own style. Do you have any photo equipement that you bought but don't use?
