Constructing a bat friendly gate in the Southport Saltpeter Cave in Maury County Tennessee to protect not only the bats but also people from being injured.

The historic north west gates of Perth Oval (or NIB Stadium as it's currently known). Constructed in 1932 and a well known landmark.

I loved the way this flag was waving in the breeze against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.

gate "F" at BKK airport. (Killing time between two flights ;))

Taragarh is an old and neglected fort that sits on a hill overlooking Bundi in Rajastan. This fort has some beautiful architecture, note the carving of Ganesha on the gate.

This fort is neglected by the government and local authorities and is in ruins.

The old west pier in Brighton. At the end of a lovely sunny day at the end of August.

I like it better than the Brigton main pier.

Week #8 (w/b 30 August) When Things Go Wrong - do you throw your hands up in the air, get into a mad panic or just sit back and say “that’s life?” I’m sure I know someone who just says “heck, give me some chocolate!” You can share your “gone wrong” happenings or maybe just what to do when those things do go wrong and remember to keep smiling!!

"7 Days of Shooting" "Week #8" "When Things Go Wrong" "Texture Tuesday"

When things go wrong, I mean horribly wrong, especially when I was learning to sail; I just felt like I needed to be out of there; that unlock the gate and let me out kinda feeling.

The "Park Gates" announced the entrance to "Wakefield Park" an exclusive housing development built on former farm land on Wakefield's upper West Side in the late 19th century. The stone pillars announced that you had arrived in this upper class section.

Considered the front gate of the Forbidden City, the residence of the Chinese Emperors since Ming Yongle.

St Ann's Gate is one of the gatehouses in the old Salisbury city wall and is now an entrance to the Cathedral and Cathedral Close. The sun was quite low in the sky by this point and is illuminating the building through the rear window. The glare at the bottom is the sun reflecting off the floor. Unfortunately, modern live intrudes again and the traffic lights are right next to the crest on the wall and unavoidable.

"Gates Ajar", originally installed in 1894 is a stand alone topiary feature at Como Park.

The iron gates were installed on the structure sometime later during the depression by Chief City Blacksmith, Walter Cronk. They were refurbished in 2007.

The gate to the walled garden.

The gate of the cemetery in Revogne. From the trial roll of the flipped lens Clack. There's a strange band in the middle of the film, actually on the opposite side to the emulsion, so it looks like it's in the base.

From May 2009, modern barriers sadly now replace the famous "Gates" and the actual gatekeeper at Frinton-on-Sea. This photograph was taken by our neighbour Terry, who owns the old Hillman car.
