The soon to be garden. It is shady - but it's fairly late in the afternoon. We should get a good 6-7 hours of full sun a day here. The shade will be nice when tending to the plants on a July afternoon, though...

One good thing about editing photos from 6 months ago is the reminder that in another 6 short months, we'll see this again. Man, 2008 really flew by for me.

The radish plants (middle) and growing well - you can't tell, but there are carrots interspersed there. I did some thinning. On the right are some lettuce seedlings, and then on the far far right by the edge of the box are lettuce sprouts coming up from seed.

Some photos I took of the day - which I have mounted and put up on display in our community hall. Some of these will be selected for our newsletter !

Garden Project - Phase I

 

Here it is; the garden, before anything's really happened. I did a little digging in the corner before deciding to chronicle my progress, but as you can see, not much has been done at this stage.
