"What're yew takin pitchers of," asked a sour-looking middle-aged lady when she saw me taking pictures.
"The banner says 'hot food' and it's hanging in front of a smelly dumpster," I replied in my nonsouthern accent.
"Well shame on yew for makin fun of we southerners," she hissed.
"Also I've never seen a DJ-themed restaurant," I added.
"Well why don't yew go inside of it and find out what one is, instead uh standin out here mockin."
"Where is it? All I see is a dumpster."

Even though I am not crazy about pictures of babies in diapers and this photo is a little bit late for me (late 50s), I could not resist it because my dachsie sleeps JUST this way, taking up most of my pillow and also, actually, sometimes, part of my head.
Actually, I am being unfair to the furry sweetheart, this baby seems to be in the Dogs bed really, doesn't it? lol

I keep saying you need to come visit me in California. And I don't just mean when I'm up north. Southern isn't so bad, y'know?
For instance: in case you didn't realize it, this was taken on 3 February. Yeah, last week.
Somehow seemed better suited to a Mario Bros adventure theme park, rather than an ancient monastery hanging from the side of a sheer cliff face.
But, that sort of oddity was almost what I loved most about it.
