A random snapshot of a new Waste Management garbage truck that picks up garbage cans with a robotic arm that extends from the right-side of the truck seen on its route in Brookhaven, Mississippi on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM CST.
Waste Management is the new contractor company that had replaced Arrow Disposal Services, Incorporated (ADSI) on September 30, 2024. These trucks are operated by one-man crews which is only the driver and he only has to line up the robotic arm or ''claw'' as I call it to the cans and push a button.
The previous company had used rear-loader trucks and three-man crews, the driver and two ''hoppers'' riding on the backside of the truck. The major problem with these newer trucks is they would have to make multiple passes on the same streets and do one can at a time which makes them slower and sometimes, they do not always empty the cans all the way. Back when we still had Arrow Disposal Services, the extra two riders who emptied the cans would also pick up any bit of garbage that happens to fall out like cardboard boxes like pizza boxes, these trucks just empty the cans and head off to the next one on its route. Besides than that, these trucks are cool looking.

Woke up after 5 hours of sleep and wasn't tired at all. All day. Which was odd.
Oral Comm. Shower. Time with Jesus. Lunch. Ran some stuff to Rhayn. Class. Filled out paperwork at OBU for my new job for two. HOURS.
It was death.
Dinner.
Movement, then refuge. Which was amazing.
Jesus hit me in the face HARD with how sufficient He is. He's SO HUGE. I can't even wrap my head around it, but when I get caught up in that, it's crazy how all the other little things I worry about don't matter. At all.
AT. ALL.
I came back to my dorm and was going to sleep, but ended up just sitting on the floor and straight up weeping all over my Bible. Jesus is just so beautiful.
Garbage at the Central Transfer Station. Shot for a project to observe the daily deluge of cast-off materials at the station which might otherwise be recycled.

One of our reps was being stupid. The note in the corner was because it turned out that when Liz had been commissioning my Paint skills, she had been leading the recipients to believe it was her work. What a slut.
The Housing Authority of Los Angeles, which owns and manages these apartments, were apparently unhappy with the garbage collection company, and so cancelled the contract.
