Tableau représentant le défilé du Carreto Ramado, avec en arrière plan l'Obélisque et l'Arc de Triomphe, le site du Glanum à St Rémy de Provence et les Alpilles !

Ce tableau est exposé au Musée des Alpilles de St Rémy de Provence.

St Rémy de Provence fête Saint-Eloi, patron entre autres des agriculteurs, des chevaux et des récoltes.

La Carreto Ramado est une immense charrette décorée de feuillages d'arbres fruitiers, de fruits et de légumes, qui présente toutes les productions agricoles de Saint Remy et des environs. Elle est tirée par 50 chevaux de trait, magnifiquement harnachés à la sarrasine, et attelés les uns derrière les autres sur plus de cent mètres. Cette très belle fête provençale est l'occasion de comprendre l'attachement du monde paysan provençal au cheval de trait. Le défilé de la Carreto Ramado a toujours lieu le matin du 15 août, pendant la Feria c'est un des événements majeurs des fêtes de l'été.

Located on the Louisiana Gulf Coast, unique Grand Isle is a place like no other. About 5 miles long with a population of about 1200. The beaches have brown sand due to being near the mouth of the Mississippi River. The island is a popular vacation spot for beachgoers, sport fishermen and anyone looking to take a break from the fast paced life of the Louisiana cities. Grand Isle is a unique corner of the world for sure.

I stacked two images together after developing them a bit in Lightroom. The reason for the stacking, was that I was using two separate focus points. One headlamp was very close to me, so, I focused on it and took the shot. Then, I focused on the lamp furthest away and took the same shot, without moving the camera too much, using two handheld images., and an older model Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone as my camera.
