My son gave this to me when he was in paramedic training. If anyone is ever trapped inside a car and the doors won't open, this will break the window. Just hold the tip to the window and hit the blunt end hard and the window will shatter. He didn't know the original use for the tool but this is what he wanted me to keep where I could easily reach it in an emergency.
Challenge with Jo: Gadget
ODC Theme : Gadgets
Taken 4/4/11
Synthetic Record circa 1979
MP3 digital "gadget" circa 2011
Flash fired directly above to produce blocks of color you see on the record surface. It's a "Special Laser Edition" ...ooohhh ahhhh...and the surface has been cut using a holographic grading process. I have know idea what that is. It produces nice colors, that's all I care about. :) I could see some really nice pinks that would have gone with the gadget color...you think I could get the ^$!#$!# camera to pick up on them?!! A tiny little bit at bottom left is all it gave me.
There's also a secret in getting the little gadget screen to show the mp3 name without reflecting the flash...$20 and I'll share it with you. If you have Canadian dollars, we'll work something out :P
Thank you Mikayla for the use of the birthday gadget.
I'm not sure yet what this looks like in Large view...maybe you'll be the first!
Practiced today with my new gadget, walked around Marshy Point and filmed my trek along one of the paths. GoPro makes a very good product. Because of the super wide angle lens, itās not suited to all video recording scenarios, but I can see that it holds a lot of potential. My problem is that my PC is too old to edit the videos, and viewing the full 1080p vids is a bit choppy :(

ODC - Gadget
In order to keep track of babies while in hospital these days they get tagged, quite bulky things but necessary! Think these are Ben's little feet - still very wrinkly on day two of his life.
Huge thank you to all who have sent congratulations for the birth of our twin grandchildren - Ben and Norah. Will be adding their introduction photo today - they are so cute, but then I am very biased.
This gadget projects an image of a green alien onto the wall.
It uses a bright green LED which shines through a thin wooden screen.
The image of the alien ranges in size from about 5in to about 6 or 7ft depending on how far away from the wall you place the unit.
The new configuration to survive China
Triumphs:
1. BB (BES) + Wifi is the best way to go through the Great Firewall
2. The B5 organizer is an excellent to keep all of the chargers in one place
Several mistakes:
1. I should have brought a thermos instead of clear Nalgene. Hot water is given out liberally.
2. Less meds, I should have brought more, especially sore throat meds.
3. Clear folder, I need to bring a clear folder for the papers.
Where does he get all those wonderful toys?
Some of my favorite Bat-tools from Arkham City. Batman is holding the Remote Electrical Charge(REC), a sort of taser gun that can charge motors and electrify enemies. Robin is holding the Explosive Gel Dispenser. It sprays out a literal explosive gel on weak surfaces, and a press of a button later, the weak surface is gone.
Brickarms used.
