To develop the UK-India relationship on few strategic themes such as ‘Future Cities’, Science and Innovation Network India organised a ‘UK-India future cities workshop’. The aim of the event was to bring together UK stakeholders in future cities research and innovation to create a network with the Indian side which we would use a basis for our new strategic relationship with India on cities. The workshop took place on 24-25 February 2014 at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi. Follow us on twitter @UKinIndia

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority believes in giving scholarships (free money for college) to high school Seniors who desire to go to college. We desire to help students who not only have high academic excellence but also contribute a significant amount of time in their community doing volunteer work. Each of the recipients we awarded this year had over a 3.0 GPA but they also contributed a impressive amount of volunteer hours in very worthy community-based organizations. This year our theme was “Straight Outta High School into College”. We were able to award over $10,000 to 6 Sacramento area high school students. We are investing in our future. Pictured here is one of our scholarship recipients.
