Ilha da Madeira -
Let's get to know one of the most hidden areas of the island of Madeira: Ribeira Funda.
Ribeira Funda is located in a valley between Seixal and Porto Moniz and only recently (2006) it is possible to reach by car. Before the new accessibilities, the families who lived here had to climb about 800 steps in a dangerous path carved in the cliffs to get home. This path even took some people's lives.
It is not known the date of construction of the staircase, it is only known that it was the inhabitants who placed each step with rocks of the river and cement to have access to the sea.
The cars were then parked in the old ER101 protected by a cave.

Esta funda la he visto por Flickr y la he copiado directamente, es mucho más práctica que las que he hecho con la cuerda que rodea todo el libro.
