Star of Hope Sweden has been supported The Island of Hope in Belarus since 1990's. The Island of Hope is located in Minsk, and is a daycare center for children and youth with functional disabilities. Every week day some 45 children and youth come to the center for various activities. The staff is proffesional doctors, teachers, and more.
The mai goal for the center is for the youth to stay home with their parents instead of institutions which has been common for youth with functional impairments.

Nearly 30 Fort Drum community members found themselves on the front lines of an intense fitness challenge April 11 at Atkins Functional Fitness Facility. Participants tested their strength, stamina and agility by completing eight events in the shortest amount of time possible. With box jumps and deadlifts, pushing and pulling a weighted sled, an Atlas carry with dumbbells and more, competitors made every second count to complete each task. The Fort Drum Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program partners with Atkins staff throughout the year for three BOSS Invades Atkins functional fitness challenges. I thought this machine was a work of art, I wish I could have taken a better shot to do it justice.

From my original free-form crochet headband patterns I sculpted a masterpiece and fulled the wool in hot water and eco-friendly soap.
The Raimbow Tree is appliqued to one end of the band using all 100% wool felt bits and delicate machine embroidery. Accompanying the tree is a crescent moon and a single star.
Secures around your head with two long felted ties that you can tie up or let dangle down your back.

The same free treatment that Casey (above) would have received had she followed her original doctors advice. What was that? Go take these medications for the rest of your life and accept being ill. Just remember that free doesn't mean valuable, meaningful, or useful. It doesn't really even mean "free". If Casey had chosen the "free" road, she would have ended up sick and dependent on multiple medications that did nothing to treat the origin of her disease. The costs for her medications, extended hospital visits, and the treatment of her health complications would have cost thousands of dollars over her lifetime. You as an American taxpayer would have foot the bill. If as a country, we don't start taking diet and lifestyle choices more seriously, the majority of under educated Americans will be led down a "free" path toward extended disease and a deteriorating quality of life. Please consider diet change as a tool to help reduce the risk of future disease. Going gluten free is a great place to start.
I've been making hedgehogs for a little while now, and while I've received requests for other animals, I honestly hadn't really considered making them.
However, I had a dream recently that literal clay raccoons found there way into my last apartment. Normally when I find animals where they shouldn't be I do my best to relocate them --I'm so glad that snapping turtles can reach back only so far with their necks, or I might be throwing in a different way-- Sorry for the digression, in this dream I had tried to shoo two clay raccoons back out of the apartment and down the three story fire escape.
My attempts at being gentle resulted in one of the raccoons getting punted out the door and down three stories, and the other getting squished by the door. Apparently these clay raccoons had very convincing clay guts.

1 set of jeweler's screwdrivers
1 cheapskate engineer who won't pay $200 for a replacement F20
Directions:
Take back panel off both F20s, transplant LCDs. Dork around with ribbon connector until it plugs back in.
Turn on Fuji with working lens motor and LCD. Delete picture of half naked previous owner from camera memory.
Present to wife.
